MBA at IMT - hard but worth it.
Remarks :
Location as many companies from Delhi come in the placement drive. Great for marketing. Faculty is renowned. Placements are above 14 lpa , on campus program , hostel and food is included in fees hence no need to pay extra. Focus is a lot on case competitions and clubs & committees . Hence extra curricular is also prioritised
Course Curriculum Overview :
First 1 year is harder than 2nd year. 1st year has all subjects ranging from finance marketing operations and Humar resources. The visiting faculty are renowned. One was a retired MD of J&J. Some visiting faculty come on weekends as they are working during the week. Attendance is stressed upon. The projects are very good and practical in nature. There are 6 terms (3 in each year ) . Exams are application based hence need not study a lot but focus in class in essential to pass in the exam. Fees hasn't been hiked for girls. Infact they have a girls scholarship which has increased from 5% to 20%. Faculty is extremely supportive especially in Marketing department. Exams are held after every term. Exams carry 40% weightage. The rest sixty percent is for internal grades. These include class participation, projects , assignments, class activities, attendance. Classes can go on till 9 pm and they start at 9 am . The top 2 rank holders of each program get upto 1 lakh cash money.
Placement Experience :
This year placements were not good. Everyone is not placed. Also placement committee is very strict and there are numerous norms ( not legal rules just norms ) . Campus placement is available and a dedicated campus placement team is present that consists of clerks and students. There is minimum grade requirement to sit for placements. FMCG companies visit ( marico , Wipro CCL , Bajaj consumer care ) . IT companies also visit ( cognizant, Genpact , Infosys consulting) . Finance placements are also good. Adani also comes. Many small companies come but they pay decent. Mostly 100 percent people get placed. This year the number is not 100 . The college is yet to release official placement numbers. Many people have applied outside campus as well. Competition is high in campus. People try to get placed via case competitions but they are hard to crack eg. Reckitt , Air India , Wipro , Flipkart etc. Sometimes some processes are not fair.
Campus Life :
Multiple fests occur but 3 are main. Passion is organised by student coucil and chakravyuh is organised by sports committee. Other clubs and committees keep organizing some or the other fest. Make a difference foundation organises blood donation and clothes donation drives. In the last 2 terms there is a compulsory social responsibility activity where people have to form their own teams and will be assigned schools to go and reach underprivileged students. Library is great with all kinds of books. Any new book can be requested to be bought. Sports fest is in Feb and 4 internal teams are formed. External teams and alumni teams are also formed. Sponsers come and sponsor the event. There is a finance club , marketing and also a Human resources club. Aside from this there is a health club , enactus , academic and admissions committee. Food is decent. A bit oily but not bad. The fees is included in the total fees. They serve breakfast lunch dinner and snacks ( in the evening) .

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
