My review for the ITM Gorakhpur college.
Likes
- The one thing I like about my college is the faculty. Most of the faculty is very supportive and they understand what student is going through you can always consult with them regarding your doubts and they will provide solutions for it. They also teach very good most of them are very experienced in the jobs and r teaching in the college for more than 10 years also. There also new teachers but if you are in your final year of pre final year then you will only be the taught by the experience faculty.
- What I like about my campus is the canteens there are two of them in my college and most of the time they provide excellent quality food. There is a lot of variety and a lot of space first went to sit down and have a cup of tea and coffee. There also various fast foods available and also good quality meals such as aloo paratha and Maggi. If you are hungry then you will not face issues to fill up your stomach. The price is also very well justified and the quality of the food is also great. The staff working in canteens is very supportive and and if you are facing problems regarding payment they will support you and you can pay them later if the recognise you. There is also another shop which is like a stationary shop where you can get all your station in needs and you there is also another shop which is like a stationery shop where you can get all your documents and stationery.
Dislikes
- What I dislike about my college is the rules and regulations. There are a lot of them and most of them are not very good. We are studying in a college but we have to be present sharp at 9 o'clock in the morning otherwise we will have to go to home. So you cannot be late and you will have to be on time doesn't matter if you are stuck in traffic or not. There is also very strict rules regarding uniform. You have to wear your uniform properly and you should not be missing any uniform. You cannot grow your beard very much and you have to be very mindful about your attire. You can get suspended if you are not wearing your proper uniform or wearing something that is not allowed in the college.
- Another thing I dislike about my college is the lack of extra curricular activities. Almost no focus is paid on extra activities. The status of sports is very bad in our college and you will only get to play sports after the colleges over. The students are encouraged to play only when the Zonal sports event is organised. Even when the students are playing for the college the college does not provide good enough facilities to train. There are no clubs in my college and you cannot create one also. Because during the during the study time you have to be present in your classes and you cannot be seen outside of your class otherwise you will be suspended immediately. You will not be allowed to participate without informing the teachers before hand.
Remarks :
The main factor for selecting this college was its locality. It's near my hometown and it has a good history of academics and placements. The good aspects of my college are its faculty, academics, rules, and regulations. The bad aspects of my college are irrelevant focus on homework and assignments, and minimal focus on extracurricular activities. The admission process in my college is simple. You can take admission through the JEE exam and also through donations. It's advisable to take admission through counseling because it will save you a lot of headaches in the future. If you have scored good enough marks in JEE, you will get admission to my college in whatever course you want. Try to aim for a fee waiver as it will reduce your cost of tuition.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is based on the AKTU curriculum. My college is affiliated with AKTU so all courses and syllabi are based on the Aktu syllabus. The quality of teaching is based on the faculty itself most of the faculty is very good and supportive of all the students. You can always clear your doubts by talking to them and you will not face any issues if you are a good student. Regarding the status of exams, due to the creation of the college with Aktu, the exams are scheduled according to the Aktu syllabus and timeline. Most of the time the exams are on schedule and timely. Regarding the difficulty of the examination, the exams are not very difficult and a person can pass this easily by studying enough and paying attention in the classroom. The college fees are justified and the hike in fees is nominal and will happen only in a couple of years. You also have access to the UP scholarship program which will provide full fee reimbursement and scholarship to every student.
Internships Opportunities :
I am currently doing my internship in a software-based company. It is a remote work-from-home internship and I only had to do the part-time so I could continue to focus on my studies also. I am a full-stack web developer so I have most of my projects based on the web. I am proficient in the MERN stack. During my internship, I have worked on various projects such as developing a Chrome extension, developing a chatbot based on LLM technology such as open AI and llama. I have also worked with making browsers based on the Brave browsers.
Placement Experience :
Placement is done every year and a lot of students are placed. There is a dedicated department to the placement and training program. Companies like TCS Wipro Infosys Accenture come to college campus for on campus placement drives. Some local companies also come to the college for placements. The highest package which was offered is 9lpa and the average package is around 3 lpa in our college for computer science students. The percentage of students placed is not fixed. Overall around 30% of the students are placed every year in various companies. The students who are placed in companies are also awarded in the parampara event of the college. After getting my degree I am planning to get a software development job in a good company preferably in Bangalore or Delhi NCR region.
Campus Life :
The College Fest is named parampara and it is held every year in April. It is very good and you will enjoy it very much. Honestly, it is one of the best times in the college. Regarding books and generals in the library, the college library is very good and it has a lot of books based on the college curriculum. Almost all books have multiple copies so you won't have any issues regarding them. On the topic of sports and extracurricular activities, there is not much attention to these things most of the focus is on the studies. You will get to play sports during the time of zonal sports events which happen every year. The same goes for social groups and clubs not much is done in this field in my college. Regarding the hostel facility, the hostels are very good they have all the facilities which are required for students. The food is great and there is very much focus on the security of the students.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
