- The food in mess is okay. We have four mess so anybody can chosse what to eat. Sports are prevalent in this college. There are a no. Of canteens in this college which also deliver things to the hostels.
- Central Library which has awesome interenet connectivity, the whole compus is not connected to the internet. Labs are appropriate, not extraordinary. The lecture theatres are well built and recently renovated. They are well ventilated and air conditioning is also provided. Hostel is livable, I won't say its the best but its okay.
Dislikes
- Somethings which I dislike about this college is cleanliness there are piles or dirt and breeding ground for insects in several places. Also the campus does not have a proper boundary which leads to people outside living in colonies crossing our college to reach the main road.
- Apart from above mentioned things other things which I dislike are the genreal environment of meerut, people here are generally rude and some violence takes place in the campus too. Several Incidents have took olace which question the safety of women.
Remarks :
The top factor which made me choose this college was its distance from my house. My home is in Ghaziabad which is around 70km from the college so I can travel to my home on weekends. No group discussions or interviews were required for admission to the college, however, you are required to clear NEET-UG to get admission to this or any other medical college in the country. The good part about this college is its history, this college has produced some of the top doctors of our country, and its heritage, it's been in service for more than 55 years now. The admission process is quite simple as it is managed by the state government, the cut-off is quite high for the general category you are required an All India Rank under 7000. The bad aspects are the infrastructure as it is quite old the hostels are as they were developed in 1966, there is water scarcity in the summer season.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is quite demanding it requires countless years of hard begging from 16 years of age or even earlier for some students, I chose to pursue medicine because I consider it to be a challenging profession and because I was fascinated by the lifestyle of doctors. All the faculty here are required to be Post-graduate. The teaching methods are advancing with time. The faculty here is quite helpful and one of the best in the state, they are quite famous for their clinical skills here in Meerut. Term exams are conducted twice annually and then a University exam is conducted at the end of the year which is quite difficult and requires burning the midnight oil. There is no fee hike policy implementation because this is a State-run medical college and the cost to study is quite affordable and it is even less for reserved students. There are quite several scholarships available for students some run by the state and some national scholarships run by different ministries.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship opportunities are available after completing the final year and it is compulsory before that internship in the medical field is unavailable, but students can join different fields for experience, most prefer teaching to undergraduate students as it is easy and usually available.
Placement Experience :
There are no in-campus placements in courses like M.B.B.S. but as everyone knows no Doctor is unemployed in times like these or even in normal times. After completing an MBBS average salary for a doctor can range from 80,000 to 1,00,000 depending on what hospital are you working in and which sector government or private. Most of the students prepare for the post-graduation exam i.e. NEET-PG, and many join as Non-PGs in our college or neighboring colleges for a part-time source of income.
Campus Life :
The best thing about our college is its hostel life. One thing I can bet on is the hostel life of the college being the best in the State. The seniors are very helpful and friendly. Also, the locality nearby is residential and if people don't want to reside in a hostel they can easily rent a PG or flat sharing. The annual college fest is STIMULUS and the annual sports fest is S.M.C.T. which stands for Shivraj Memorial Cricket Tournament but it encompasses other sports too. Apart from that there are quite a few extracurricular activities and parties being organized every couple of months to relieve the enormous pressure students face. The are several clubs like literature clubs, clinical society, Indian Medical Association Groups, National Medicos Organisation groups, etc. Any person interested in extra-curricular activities will never be bored in this college. We have a central library too which serves as a place to meet up for several clubs. It has a large number of books.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
