- The faculty is by far the best thing about my college. Very academically excellent staff and nothing to complaint about the faculty
- The city that my college is located is pretty decent. Agra is of course not a metropolitan but it is a fast developing city
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is what I hate about my college. Badly maintained buildings, unclean and no ground for sports. No social space for the students to hang out at
- Campus life of my college is pretty limited due to the campus infrastructure being problematic. No hostel rooms for the boys
Remarks :
I had to go through neet to find a seat in this college. I scored 640 marks and rank 6439 in the 2022 year neet. To be very honest my college (Sarojini Naidu Medical College, Agra) is a decent college overall. The best points being the teaching faculty. Everything academic is well done by my college. However my college lacks a lot in the infrastructure department. I (as a second year MBBS student) still wasn’t able to get a hostel room and I have to live outside the college not by choice. The infrastructure is problematic as we don’t have an active playing field right now. We have an auditorium that is completely locked off at all times due to some reason. The academic building is also about to get decommissioned. With that being said I also want to add the fact that the college is going through a phase of rapid reconstruction which will help the college earn a great reputation in the future years.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course as I wanted to be a doctor professionally. I really like the idea of being able to save a life. Faculty of my college is perfect. All the teachers are well oriented and take regular classes. The term exams are also taken at regular times and the difficulty being decent The cost of studying is not a lot. About 33000 per annum for general students
Internships Opportunities :
This does not apply in the case of a medical college as what I wrote earlier is pretty self explanatory. There is no such thing as a job opportunity for a medical student. The job opportunity is only after PG exams are done
Placement Experience :
In the case of a medical college not a lot is done or is needed to be done. The college provides a necessary internship programme which lasts for 1.5 years with not a lot of earnings per say. Everyone goes through the internship programme irrespective of their academic performance.
Campus Life :
Fest that was held in our college was called FLAMES. However the last year the Fest was held in was in 2022z Ever since due to no ground being available due to metro projects, the fests have not been happening. Library is pretty good. Opening hours from morning 9 till 8 evening. Great collection of books and pretty nice actually. No sports and extra curricular activities are being conducted currently No clubs right now but we are planning to take the initiative. Hostel is nice in terms of food etc but the same infrastructure problems continue with it being even worse in the case of the boys hostel. The girls hostel however is newer and nicer with each room having an attached toilet space and an extra much smaller room

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
