- The freedom in mcc, where every student is accountable to themselves, where freedom with responsibility comes into play.
- The nature and its beauty, the cool climate in the midst of scorching sun, due to the abundance of trees in the 350 acre widespread campus.
Dislikes
- The Management of the college not focusing on the sustaining the culture of the college.
- Canteen is not very great, they are lesser options, but the food is very affordable at worth the price
Remarks :
The quality of education and my passion for Social work made me join there. I had an entrance exam, group discussion and Interview for admission, based on which my admission was granted. The best part is that the faculties give vale for one’s extra curricular activities and other talents. Good thing is that you’ll get a lot of exposure and if you’re a person looking for opportunities, you’ll be happy. They have a lot of projects in collaboration with various International colleges and Government departments.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course for my passion to work with the society. 80% of the faculty hold a PHD and the rest are pursuing their PHD. Teaching method is innovative incorporating new techniques, workshops.etc. Internal Exams were held once a month - two times in a semester and semester exams are held once every six months. Difficulty level is moderate, adequate preparation with contemporary knowledge will help you. Fee hike is not very high, and Social Work Department (Aided) of Madras Christian College had been ranked #1 in India for Vale for money & #10 for Overall among other social work colleges in India.
Internships Opportunities :
No I haven’t opted, but there are internship opportunities provided by my department. The stipend will go upto 5 thousand a month, it’s give a lot of exposure. The field work exposure is also really great.
Placement Experience :
There is placement cell for placements and also campus interview drives from various companies. Percentage of placement would be 60%. I’m planning on doing a One year specialisation course after my degree
Campus Life :
College has an Annual Inter-Collegiate Cultural Fest Deepwoods held every February. Library is really good with access to many online and offline sources. Amenities in classrooms are moderate. Sports facilities are good with an Indoor Stadium and 5 grounds for sports. There is MCC-MRF Innovation Park which is a new initiative for innovations among students. Student run clubs inclum Student Christian Movement, Nss, Ncc, Scrub Society.etc. There are 6 halls of residence (hostels) in Mcc, 3 for women and 3 for men, each hall having culture and traditions of their own. Food is very good in hostel. Registration process for hostel has to be done through college website after admission, hostel fees will be between 50-60k a year.

Placements are given in high reputed companies, even companies like Microsoft, IOS, intel are also collaborated with the college. And for animation they provide placement in" Toonz Animation, Techno park, Thiruvananthapuram.

Placement Experience :
Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

Placement Experience :
The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The faculty of this college is good there are strick and the curriculum are good and every one in the college will face 2 test before the main exam internal test one and internal test 2 are the two test and practical will be taken place a side
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
