- Campus life is awesome... getting into the field with friends... working with plants with friends will be a bliss.
- Tours are a part of the course.In 3rd semester and tamil nadu tour is present which is for 7 days and in 7th semester all India tour is present which is for 25 days. Short trips are also arranged frequently.
- Extracurricular activities are given importance and opportunity are provided.
Dislikes
- College timings are very annoying. Waking up early and attending classes at 7.30 am is very challenging to most of the students. Most of them skip breakfasts.
- Trichy is very hot during the summer. And no holidays are given during the monsoon even when the government declares holiday due to heavy rain. You will be forced to attend classes for attendance even during heavy rain.
Remarks :
It is the 4th agriculture college in Tamil Nadu and is best choice for students after tnau coimbatore. The college atmosphere is very soothing. Just a walk around the campus will be an stress buster. The college also supports the students on extracurricular activities like sports , cul etc. The bad aspects may be...the class timings, which is the case in all agriculture colleges. The college timing is from 7.30 am to 5.00 pm. The syllabus is also tough, you need to study 10+ courses per semester and the pass percentage is 60%. Just applying for counselling is enough for joining if u have a good cut Counselling is different for Tamil medium students, sports quota and differently abled. If you don't have enough cutoff you can join using industrial quota in which you need to pay extra 8 lakhs for the seat. NRI quota is also available, but the fees will be 2 lakhs INR per semester.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Join only if you are very much interested in agriculture. The faculties are knowledgeable and PhD holders. The teaching method is mostly using a smart board by PPTs.Some staffs prefer blackboard and printed lecture notes. They will not do spoon feeding, we must study on our own. The exams are very difficult but just covering the syllabus is enough to score more than 80%. Covering the syllabus is challenging and most of the students study only one day before the exam. The exams are conducted daily for more than 25 days 10+practicals and 10+theory without any study holidays. The college provides many scholarships to the student and has a separate office staff for the scholarship processing called the scholarship cell.
Internships Opportunities :
Amrit internship. 50 students were selected and got 16000 amount for collecting farmers details. The students collected details of 100 farmers in 3 months. Some projects like doing field observation and helping research scholars are also paid 100 per hour in a scheme.
Placement Experience :
Placements are based on the GPA (points) you have scored. Many banks and private agro-based companies recruit the students. Many internships are also conducted in the college. The best option after the degree program is to study for and entrance exam for higher studies or government jobs.
Campus Life :
Many fests are organised and d by the students like club inauguration, orientation day for freshers, muthamizh vizha, Pongal vizha, kondatam, freedom, sports day, NCC day , NSS day, batch day, hostel day and club closing day. The library is very vast and contains most of the important books for any preparation. The student's amenity centre and an canteen with many snacks and refreshers are present. All labs are well established with costly instruments. Tnau_trichy_club Instagram is managed by the students. Many clubs are present in the college such as Thursday talk. The hostel is good..the food is average..boys are allowed to go outside and have food..there are many hotels nearby within walking distance. But girls are not allowed to cross the gate. The hostels are well maintained and the mess fees average about 3500-4500.

Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.
ITS VALUE FOR MONEY
Placement Experience :
The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
