Dislikes
- A very early curfew for Hostel Students.
- Girls get much lesser freedom if they have opted for hostel.
Remarks :
The entrance exam for MBBS is NEET. Based on your rank, you will be allotted a university from the list of universities you have applied to from the counselling process. In my case, the top choice was Chettinad Health and Research Institute. The cut-off for 2023 was about 120 marks for Chettinad. I was able to be granted admission in the first round. Now on to the college, The Good Aspects: 1. State-of-the-art technology is present and used for teaching medicine. 2. Research Opportunities that can help you get paid while learning. 3. Very approachable professors and tutors. 4. A Mentorship program to hone your medical skills. 5. Compensatory programs for students lacking in attendance or performance to help them catch up. The Bad- 1. Hostel amenities are a bit poor, however, they take complaints seriously and are improving it almost day by day. 2. For hostellers, the curfew is early at 6 pm.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course as I wanted to work in the medical field as a doctor and India offered the MBBS course. All the faculty members for MBBS are qualified doctors with an MD in their respective subjects. Their teaching method is very practical which makes it easy to register in the mind. The term exams are usually on time however the difficulty is towards the higher side. Fees are hiked for every new incoming set of students. However, the fees do not change throughout the years for the students who are already in college. Scholarship is provided based on your rank in NEET.
Placement Experience :
To get your medical license, after finishing MBBS, you have to appear for the National Exit Test or the NeXT exam. This exam doubles as your license exam and the Post Graduate Entrance exam. You require 50% to obtain your medical license and the higher your score, the better the graduation University you choose. On obtaining the medical license, based on your performance you can work at the college itself, or you can apply to work at different hospitals. The average package of a doctor with only an MBBS qualification is 3.5 to 5 LPA. The placement rate however is much higher as doctors are required in many places in high demand.
Campus Life :
We have one Fest, known as CHETFEST every year for all students of every course during November. Almost every book or journal related to your courses can be found in the library. If any book you need is not present, you can send an appeal to the library to place an order for the book at no cost. Classrooms are all air-conditioned for your comfortable learning experience. In the first year, you do not get extracurricular amenities. However second year on, you can take part in various sports and clubs such as music and arts. Social groups are run by students for every batch of MBBS. The current first-year students are yet or organise one, however. The only poor thing about the entire campus is the hostels, The food quality is poor, it’s sanitary but it’s very bland. Some of the hostel rooms are in poor condition, however, the hostel staff tries to fix your problems as soon as they physically can. They take every complaint very seriously and prioritise equally.

Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
