- The main attraction at YMCA is its its clubs and it's legacy. At one point of time it was regarded similar to IITs as it was established under the supervision of Germans and a degree from here in mechanical wa of high regard.
- The second main attraction and benefits of YMCA is its alumni network. The seniors from YMCA are well placed and always ready to offer a hand to their juniors
Dislikes
- The major drawback is syllabus being taught here in most of the streams is very old and needs to be reviewed as per latest industry norms
- The second drawback is some that strictness relating to attendance doesn't let's students explore different alternative that they can chose for their careers
Remarks :
The admission process of YMCA FARIDABAD is through Jee mains rank and for Kashmir migrants quote it is a separate rank. There is also a quotation for HGST ie haryana girls state topper. The university being a state university has special reservations for people belonging to the state of Haryana ie the domicile of Haryana. There are no such written test separately for Btech degree and rest of the courses have different criteria like B.Voc ie bachelor of vocational courses. There are about 4-5 round of physical counselling and before that it takes place of HSTES portal where you have to select your preference
Course Curriculum Overview :
The department of electronics engineering consists of three branches under it namely ECE, ENC and EEIOT. The computer department has 3 courses under it CE, CSDS and IT. I got ECE in the 2nd round of counselling itself I was also getting ENC ie electronics and computer engineering but some staff suggested not to take up that branch as it has no placement record till that time and was relatively new. The faculty at YMCA is good , many professors teaching here have done either of their masters or PhD from reputed old IITs. Many of them have teaching experience above 25 years. The exams have always been held on time and adequate gap is given between semester exams. They are a bit on difficult side and require some amount of preparation . There has been no fee hike since I have joined the college the even and odd semester fees are about 45000 and 54000 for Btech and if you belong to sc/st category you can apply for scholarship if you fall under the TFW ie tution fee waver category.
Internships Opportunities :
At YMCA internships offer come in 7th semester and internship starts in 8th semester. Companies offer internships to student for a period of 6months and further after that if they find the candidate suitable enough they are given PPO ie pre placement offer. Majorly student go towards for the role of SDE-1. Also students opt for internships at reputed government organisation such as DRDO and other PSU.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for placement as such is no backlogs must be there. Placements at YMCA for mechanical and computer branches has been almost 95% and for branches like ECE and electrical has been around 88-90% . The average package in CS is around 9 lacs per annum where asin electronics branch it is around 7 lac per annum. There are e many recruiters visiting the college. Samsung, ADOBE, Daikin, Xenon, DE-SHAW and many more companies come for recruitment .
Campus Life :
The fest of YMCA is called ELEMENTS CULMYCA and it is held around October but post COVID the college hasn't been able to host a fest but freshers and cultural day have been occuring very regularly. The library at YMCA is RFID enabled and books can be issued for about 2 weeks of time for Btech. There are almost all books of all categories and amfor all types of examination that you want to prepare for be it GATE or UPSC or CAT. Clubs are the main support system of college life in YMCA there are all sorts of cultural and technical clubs in YMCA. Where each club has its own process of auditions for the club. The sports team of YMCA is excellent and wins almost at all reputed IITs and every other college especially the volleyball team. The hostel at present is only available for girls and the food quality is good. The hostel is not provided to student sof NCR. There are many PG available near college and flats for students almost half of the college students reside in PG and flats

The Career Development Centre (CDC) plays an important role in preparing students for internships and future placements. The CDC conducts career guidance sessions, skill development workshops, resume-building activities, aptitude training, and interview preparation programs to improve students' employability. KRMU provides placement assistance through its Training and placement cell, which conducts aptitude training, mock interview, resume building sessions and skill development session to improve students employability. Student become eligible for campus placement in the final year subject meeting the criteria of the individual company. Eligible criteria include maintaining the CGPA, having limited or no active backlog, and fulfilling company specific criteria.
A Growing University with Good Facilities and Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements are decent for skilled students with eligibility usually starting in the final year . Companies like TCS , Infosys ,BHEL visit the campus . The average package is around 4-6b LPA . After completing my B-tech degree , I plan to pursue a career in software development

Aroun 6.5-8 cgpa should be maintained to avail for placement. No backlogs. Respect teachers. Fee visited recruiters were ICICI ey pwc etc highest packaging where I heard about was 56LPA and average was around 9-12LPA.

Curriculum was very much reasonable and it was very much easy to understand it also had division of management studies and computer studies which made it very much easier for me to understand the faculty was amazing and very helpful

There is no certain eligibility criteria depends on the company and Many company comes all every year. Layi Blinkit, Zomato et cetera et cetera Also, there are separate departments for placement like CDC department

Currently i am perusing my PhD so not applicable for me and the placements i have seen is very impression companies are good like tcs, bain, lumenci, proedge and average package offered is 12 lpa. so i hope to get a good chance for myself and get a very good placement looking forward for the beat chance
