- if you're coming here for the other course( FDP- FOOTWEAR DESIGN) the labs are sufficient and they have plenty of labs. this college is good for the footwear designing course. the labs are good the placement is good but for FD- fashion designing it's not that developed
- campus life is good enough. nothing to complain about. you'll have a lot of fun here with the limited amount of people. but you'll have to work a lot here as well
Dislikes
- the labs are old.the infrastructure is not bad. most of the machines doont work here and need constant servicing. there's a library, a garment construction lab a draping lab and plenty of technical labs like cad lab, 3d printing lab and everything
- the faculties always give last minute submissions so you'll have to rush your assignments and projects so you'll have a lot of sleepless nights and stressful weeks. partiality and having favourites is a big problem here (like every other college) so you'll have to work on that as well. it's always better if you're a hostel student than a day scholar since the college is located in the outers, it takes a long while to travel to and fro.
Remarks :
just the FDDI AIST entrance exam preparation is alright you can easily get in since there are not many people enrolling. so getting in should be very easy. if you plan to come to this college your first option should be nift and your second option should be symbiosis but otherwise, you can keep this college as your last resort. it's not exactly good but considering all the fashion colleges in South India, fddi comes third. keep your first preferences as the hq campuses like Hyderabad and Noida since they have more exposure and are located in the heart of the city. This college is neither in Chennai nor in Kanchipuram there's nothing available for a span of 4-5 km so the location of this college is a big problem.
Course Curriculum Overview :
depends on the faculty honestly. some faculties are 8/10 some are 3/10s teaching as well. we have about 7 faculties right now and 3 of them are pretty good but they can do better. the rest of them are just okay. all of them did a PhD in their respective fields. you'll mostly do a lot of self-learning here. You also go for a lot of internships in the semester holidays and vacations so since we have 8-semester vacations (1-2 months span) you'll get to do 7 internships either mandatory or volunteer. so it's a lot of self-learning with the internships you get to see how it works in person before you get to the real part. the fee increases each year for some reason. there are a lot of scholarships and stuff since this is a central government college. all the policies and programs. if you're looking for a fashion college in the south India region fddi( fddi Hyderabad- 1st and Chennai- 2nd) comes second but the first preference will always be Nift since it's more recognized.
Internships Opportunities :
internships are a routine here if you're in the 1st or 2nd year you are likely to do an unpaid internship but for the other two years you'll get paid. the stipend varies from 5k-40k depending on the position.
Placement Experience :
7/10. you'll get a job 100% if you're going through the campus placements and interviews( placement is centralized so you'll probably have to go to Noida since a lot of good companies come there to scout people. we have campus placement as well but it's not as good as the centralized ones). but you'll mostly be placed as a fashion merchandiser which is also okay but a lot of people prefer the designing position. 3/10 people get a design placement. the rest of them just get a merchandising position. highest package should be around 8-9 lpa and the average is 4.5-5.5 LPA
Campus Life :
Coming to the hostel life and food the hostel food is a 6/10 (not great not bad). the taste and everything is fine but the mess vendor keeps changing over and over again and there are some days where you'll have to manage the food by yourself (get it from outside) Hostel rooms are alright. the faculties are pretty chill and there will be events held all the time for all festivals regularly. but since the number of students in the college is a bit low, the campus won't be as fun as the engineering college ones. but otherwise, nothing to complain about the campus life part. we have a sports and cultural event held every semester and you'll also get to participate in a lot of outer college fashion competitions (either by yourself or via college) so you'll gain more exposure there as well.

Placement Experience :
Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

Placement Experience :
The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
