- The faculties are very great. Even though they seem strict at first or at classes if you contacted them outside the class hours they are friendly only will help to a great extent.
- You can access the lab at any hours you want.
- There is also free internet access in various parts of the college and also free internet access in hostel
- The question paper setting is quite different. you can only pass the subject if you have understood the concept.
- Cheating in semester exam is literally impossible
- Relative grading is followed here so even if you scored less your score is affected by the overall class performance only
Dislikes
- There is no importance given to sports. you can't represent the college team if you have any arrears
- But Internals exam invigilation is not strict so students may copy (some of them even bring mobiles and write exams) As internals have a great impact in the final results it is not good
Remarks :
I got a seat in metallurgical engineering is PSG College of Technology in the year 2022. I got this seat through TNEA Counseling, and I got a score of 185.5. the main reason I chose this college is because of the course. this course is only offered by 4 colleges in Tamil Nadu. The other reason is that this college is one of the top colleges in Tamil Nadu. Metallurgy is a rare course and this is available in our college and also. The faculty and other facilities here are very great as compared to other colleges. One more thing is the Junior and senior bonding. The seniors here are most friendly and there is no ragging. seniors will help their juniors up to a great extent.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The Course curriculum is well-planned and designed here. It is changed every four years to include new technologies in the syllabus. The faculties here are well experienced and most of them have good industry experience each faculty have completed either a PhD or is doing their PhD. The faculty will help the students in their syllabus and also try to teach us other concepts out of the syllabus. we can contact the faculty at any time when they are free. But the problem is the exam schedule. There are three internal exams as of my regulation and my juniors have only 2. There will be two subject exams conducted per day and we need to prepare for both of them. Also, there won't be a lot of time for the semester semester exams to be conducted in a very short duration (One exam per day without any holiday for the next one) so to secure good marks we need to understand all the concepts well before the examination.
Internships Opportunities :
As of now, I don't know much about the internship process. But as for my seniors, the internships for IT companies are great. There will be a hiring process similar to that of a placement process. Most of the internships here are paid and the student needs to undergo a series of selection processes to get hired in the companies. Also, we can contact our staff for various internship opportunities and we can request help from our alumni for internship and other needs (Strong alumni contact is one of the greatest advantages of the college)
Placement Experience :
The placements here are very good as compared to other colleges. Since it is one of the topmost colleges in Tamilnadu. Usually, IT Companies hire students for a great salary and all the Top branches like CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, MECH have a great placement here. Here the core company placements are also very great. and a lot of our seniors have been placed in companies for a good starting level salary.
Campus Life :
the campus life is great at college and we have several clubs and associations. but there won't be a lot of fun as expected by a fresher about college seeing movies. There will be various events and symposiums conducted in the odd sem and life will be plain in the even semester. As for the hostel, it is great and very fun. The food in the hostel is also good (As compared to other colleges) but it's not the best. The hostel fees for the first year would be 1,03,000 and it would be 91500 for the upcoming years. also, rooms with attached bathrooms are available. Girls hostel is quite strict here. There are various clubs here serving various purposes.

Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
