Demerits of SNU
Likes
- The hostels have good single rooms and corridors
- The students can access the gym anytime of the day
Dislikes
- The faculty, staff and management is really bad. Students are not treated well and have no liberties at all
- The security system is really harsh as check in inside the college is like getting inside an international airport
Remarks :
The college has straightforward admissions rounds. You can get admission through SAT, SNUSAT or JEE Mains scores. The college has good infrastructure and ambience. But the security policies of the college are not very good. There is a culture of less studying plus the faculty is also not good. The student help offices are not that cooperative and the student body is also not that powerful. The food quality is also really poor considering the fees. The hostels are decent but always smelly.
Course Curriculum Overview :
There are options for opting for scholarships during the initial phases of admission if you show a weak financial background. Talking about my course which is ECE, the course structure is really bad and the staff is not good. The professors are rude and always change mark criteria. Topics are not taught in a good manner also no emphasis on practical knowledge. The exams are pretty tough and include concepts not covered in class. The fee hike is pretty prominent in the case of choosing our hostels.
Placement Experience :
The placement opportunities are pretty much basic and are not that good. Any student has to pursue a master's degree after college to get a good salary. The recruiters that visit are also not that big.
Campus Life :
There are two main fests which are Breeze the Cultural Fest and Surge the sports fest. The fest is of pretty low quality and is not worth visiting. There are several smaller events such as Diwali garba nights all of which are kind of decent. The library is pretty decent and has most of the good books. The classrooms are also decently made. There are several sports which can be played and several clubs as well. Some main clubs are sports, fashion, music and departmental clubs. There are huge politics in the selection of these and are not worth wasting time on. The food quality is pretty bad and the same goes for the menu. The mess is also not hygienic. our course is not for placement , you will get job in many library as per your degree , if you want grad a jobs you have complete PHD in library science . there is no campuss placement in this college for this course . most of student do mlis and UGN net after blis and some of them prepare for government like JNV and asst librarioan posts

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.
