- The RMK engineering college has modern facilities and well-equipped labs for academic purposes. The campus encompasses advanced classrooms, spacious rooms and well-stocked libraries for the students. Regarding hostels, they typically provide decent rooms with attached bathrooms for students. The college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities, equipment. Classroom, laboratories are good and well maintained. Sports ground are very clean and regularly maintained. Foods are hygienic in canteen. They provide the best in quality food and they provide both non veg and vegetarian foods. The food is the most beautiful thing which many students gets attracted too. They have the best in class cooks who make foods which will be tender and just like homemade. The life T the campus is too different as a dayscholor it was quite a thrill for me hearing upon my hosteller friend they told it was the best experience they had.
- The college has a remarkable updates as to the students needs. They have the regular meeting conducted between the students and the faculty to meet their needs and to attend their grievances. They further The teaching quality was good at our college. This course curriculum at our college was relevant. It was making the students job-ready. Semester exams at our college were not difficult to pass. The college has the best quite friendly atmosphere with eminent faculties. It is to be noted that the RMK engineering college chairman was a ex minister who have given the best inclass facilities in the college. That itself a major brief factor that the students of the college will get placed. They provide the technical and core training to the students at the very best to get immense results
Dislikes
- The one thing which is most dislikes by the college is that they have certain rules with regarding to male and female students of the college. Most of the rules are fine but few rules are not adequate and not friendly to be followed. Likewise, The male student shoul come clean shaved or else they will he fined with money. All must wear formal shirts and phants no jeans allowed. Male and women student are not allowed to talk except during the class hours. It literally affected the minds fo the students.
- These rules pertaining to the discipline are somewhat fine but usage of phone is not permitted are one among the above which not convenient among the students. The New generation of students we live in a modern world. So these not allowing to use the phone was changed now as I've heard from my junior who passed and also made the college a bit liberal. So the next generation won't face these. Overall I would suggest if you think like choosing RMK engineering college it would be a best decision you'll make. Remarks :
The main factor I've chosen this college is because they have a good standard of education with highly qualified professors. They also have a good infrastructure on the premises. The track record of the placement selection was too good at the of 80 percent selection year on year. Another reason for which I've selected this college is my school teacher who has a good impression of the college suggested I take part in RMK while I had quite a lot of options I've opted for RMK for the reasons that it has the best in class teaching and placement record. There aren't any group discussions interviews or written tests for admission as I have got the admission through Anna University Counseling on the Merit Basis through the 12 marks I've obtained. The cut-off required varies depending upon the caste they belong to. The minimal cut-off required amounts to 189 to 197. They also have some strict restrictions as to the discipline in usage of mobile phones , dress etc.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The reasons for choosing the B.E mechanical engineering is they have the best infrastructure to learn the academics with a practical knowledge through their equipment based training. All are updated machines in the practical lab as on date and checked every quarter for the better Performance. The Faculty team of the Department of B.E mech are all the professor with vast knowledge and experience. Most of them are th .PhD holder who have published their own journal and book with great notes for the students. The exams were conducted every quarter and the internal assessment and model exams are conducted to train the students on day to day basis by Conduction of a weekly Assignment and seminars. The fee structure varies among students who have opted through the Merit and donation. In general Admission fee-10000 one time Miscellaneous fee:10000 one time Refundable deposit:10000 one time Tuition fee:70000 p/y Food is compulsory:17000 p/y Bus fare:22000 p/y varies based on location.
Internships Opportunities :
I've opted for an internship in the ICF integral coach factory but that was taken up by myself. The college doesn't provide facility for the intership in a. Company during studies but they give guidance to obtain the same. The campus team in the college under the Department will give the details of the availability in the different sector and private companies to obtain the intership. They conduct regular workshops and site visits to the industries to gain the industrial infrastructure knowledge at the best. They Faculty will take the student's to two industries in each semester such as Kalpana power plant and isro space reach organisation for the students to have the indepth knowledge on the core ideas and systematic used in the workplace. The stipend will vary depending upon the companies so as to range from 5000 to 15000 rupees in general. Where I was worked without any stipend for 30 days.
Placement Experience :
The main factor that the students are more on to the college is because of their placement results every year. They have the wideradge of IT companies and core companies who conduct the campus interview in campus., most famous sectors like cognizant, Infosys, wipro, TCS, etc are all a part of the campus team. The average payout given in the academic year of 2019 passed out is 5.5 lakhs per annum however the highest payout amounted to 12lakhs per annum. The 85 percent of the students who apply are placed in the campus interview. Each recruiter gave different package style depending upon the performance in the interview and the overall percentage of marks obtained in the semester. The average offer was given by the TCS and the highest payout was offered by wipro to my felony student. Since I've opted for the higher education I haven't applied for the campus interview. It is to be noted that the RMK is the best among all the engineering college with regard to campus selection records.
Campus Life :
The life at campus is quite wonderful for both day scholors and the hosteller. They conduct Alumini meeting and workshops twice a semester. They have the library in the centre of the college whereas They have access to many Books written by both Indian and Foreign Authors. They have shelved themselves with many recently published journals and documents relating to the worldwide development in engineering. They also conduct the inter college sports meet and competition to enumerate and explore the sports side of the students by conducting year on year inter college competition. Apart from studies They also gave root to the extra curriculum activities such as business administration class and personality development classes which will be conducted in the campus every semester. They hosteller have the union to put out their grievances. The food is common for both hosteller and dayscholor the quality of the food is more hygine and homemade standard. One of The best attraction is food.

Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
