Things to know before going GD Goenka

- I like the faculty support here, many faculties are always ready to help to you out anytime, I was wondering how would I prepare for my GPAT exam but my faculties consoled me, calmed me and explained there is no need to panic about it and start my preparation from 3rd year so that I don't feel much pressure in 4th year.
- Second thing I like about this university is it's infrastructure and canteen brownie 😂 (I love it). Infrastructure is nice providing good amount of space for everything weather it's laboratories or classes or sports ground everything.
Dislikes
- Local crowd here is the thing which I dislike the most, there are many disturbing elements in class who don't study as well as don't let the class study. These students create nusiance in class and create scenes at college events.
- Second thing I dislike here is the hectic schedule of classes as well as labs, I known it's important to plan labs with classes daily but it feels too tiring till the end of the day. Lunch takes place at 1:20 with this hectic schedule which feels very late and I don't like it.
Remarks :
I chose this college because of its distance from my house and one of my known is an ex-student of this university, so she suggested me because of the proper laboratory facilities and faculty support. Talking about the admission process, there is an entrance exam (written) for scholarship in 1st year or it may be given based on your 12th percentage. I got 20% off on my first-year fees for securing 87% in the 12th class. If you can maintain your rank throughout the year then your scholarship may continue. The first two students of the whole class will get a 35% scholarship for the year and will only continue if you maintain your rank. If you don't want to give any exam you can just go to admin office with all your certificates and credentials and talk to the representative present there in the office. They will give a form, explain the admission process and some small amount of admission fees will be submitted there. Just don't forget to take your Aadhar card, pan card, 10th and 12th marks sheet
Course Curriculum Overview :
Pharmacy is a course which not only depends on theoretical part but equally requires practical knowledge too. Here at GD Goenka, I got hands-on practical experiences and the daily required amount of laboratory practices are fulfilled. Here course curriculum is planned according to PCI ( Pharmacy Council of India) rules and regulations. Here some facilities are from NIPER and from other great pharmacy institutes. Their experience helps us a lot in not only studies but in personalized development too. They guide us regarding GPAT, GATE, and other pharmacy-related competitive exams. Here two mid-semester examinations (sessionals) take place and then the final (end-term examination) takes place after around 15 -28 days of mid-semester examinations ( MSEs). Semester fees here was 75000 in starting but it increases 10% every year for the current batch. We were told during admission that our fees could increase or decrease but it never decreases, it keeps on increasing every year by 10%.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship opportunity by college is given in 3rd year in different sectors of pharma lines like hospital pharmacy, pharmacovigilence, manufacturing unit and many more sectors. You will get a very nice experience of internship in these new sectors but there is no transportation facility, you will daily have to report there on time on your own finance.
Placement Experience :
Students who were good in studies and secured a good are the ones to get priority over other students for placements. I don't know about placements much but I have heard from my seniors that not all students get placement you have to work hard to get one because of competition.
Campus Life :
Every year in march fest is organised by students and faculties and in October Fresher's party is organised for the new comers ( freshman year students) by seniors followed by some performances and Fresher's ramp walk then dj party. Library of b block is available till 4 pm and till night of a block for hostelers. Every needed book for the subject of most required writer's books are present in college library. There are various sports and techno cultural clubs you can join for extracurricular activities according to your interest and skills. By the way I am a day border but according to my hosteller friends reviews food quality is nice att mess, every week menu is given to them and there are many facilities free for hostelers like free gym membership and acess to many sports equipments and fitness, etc. All over campus life here at goenka is very nice but some local crowd here ruins the craze of any event by either creating scene or having fight at the event to disturb others.

KRMU provides placement assistance through its Training and placement cell, which conducts aptitude training, mock interview, resume building sessions and skill development session to improve students employability. Student become eligible for campus placement in the final year subject meeting the criteria of the individual company. Eligible criteria include maintaining the CGPA, having limited or no active backlog, and fulfilling company specific criteria.
A Growing University with Good Facilities and Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements are decent for skilled students with eligibility usually starting in the final year . Companies like TCS , Infosys ,BHEL visit the campus . The average package is around 4-6b LPA . After completing my B-tech degree , I plan to pursue a career in software development

Aroun 6.5-8 cgpa should be maintained to avail for placement. No backlogs. Respect teachers. Fee visited recruiters were ICICI ey pwc etc highest packaging where I heard about was 56LPA and average was around 9-12LPA.

Curriculum was very much reasonable and it was very much easy to understand it also had division of management studies and computer studies which made it very much easier for me to understand the faculty was amazing and very helpful

Currently i am perusing my PhD so not applicable for me and the placements i have seen is very impression companies are good like tcs, bain, lumenci, proedge and average package offered is 12 lpa. so i hope to get a good chance for myself and get a very good placement looking forward for the beat chance
