Likes
- The faculty is good and have experience in teaching for years.
- The infrastructure is neat and geometrically pleasing, with plenty of trees and hedges and open spaces.
Dislikes
- Faculties are sometimes too terse and fast in teaching. Question papers are often blatantly difficult and often the professors find it hard to relate with the student's level of understanding.
- Life is very slow and very little socializing in general. Not many fun events and daily life is mostly dry.
Remarks :
CMI is known for its excellence in Mathematics and Computer Science programs. The research group consists of highly skilled professionals and the professors are extremely qualified, with most of them having done their higher educations abroad. The course work is tremendous and even the Math courses in B.Sc. are comparable to M.Sc. courses in other colleges. Admission to this program is through a nationwide entrance with a 3-hour paper, having two parts. The first part is for screening consisting of objective questions. If you clear the cutoff, your second part is checked, which is of subjective questions. The paper is difficult, and comparable to the Regional Mathematics Olympiad level. There is a final interview before selection. The college campus is neat and clean with all facilities. Food is good. The only bad is that people here are too focused on their studies and hardly any social life.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is heavy and very theory-focused. The professors are highly qualified with years of research experience. They are no doubt the bosses of their business. There is no fixed teaching method, it varies from one teacher to the next. So good and bad both. The term exams were carried out on stipulated exam weeks. They were mostly difficult, but since each professor made their paper, the difficulty varied from one to the other. Although the fee is 1.25 lakhs per semester, there are generous options for fee waivers. Mostly, families with less than 8 LPA income get a 100% fee waiver. And for those between 8 and 12 LPA, they get 50%.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, I interned under a tech-based education company named SciAstra. It is based in Noida. My role was as the Data Analyst of the company. I did EDA on their raw data. The stipend was good and the company culture was inclusive.
Placement Experience :
People in the Maths and Computer Science programs get placed into top research institutes abroad like MIT, Princeton, North Western, Dart Mouth, Yale, etc. Those seeking a corporate career get placed with reasonably good starting packages, with a median CTC of around 18 LPA. Almost all those seeking placement get placed. So placement is over 90% I'd say.
Campus Life :
Tessellate is the only fest we have, that happens in January. It's mostly a Mathematics fest with people coming in from all over the country to participate in events like fast cubing, chess, Integration Bees, etc. There are sports groups like football, cricket, and volleyball, and they are quite active. Social groups too are there, like literature, cycling, gym, gaming, etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel and mess fees for the semester are charged together. It's 32 thousand per semester. The locality is quiet and clean. Not many residentials, but there are quite a few good PGs nonetheless. Overall a safe and nice place.

Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
