NIEPA Admission 2024 is ongoing:

  • Candidates seeking admission to Integrated M.Phil/Ph.D. Program or PhD program must have at least 55% points (50% are allowed for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/various disability category candidates on entrance examinations administered by the Institute ), or equivalent grades of a Master's degree in social studies. Recognized university science and related fields.
  • University conducts its own entrance exam for admission into PhD & Mphil courses.
  • Non-refundable application fee of Rs. 400/- (Rs. 200/- for SC/ST and EWS candidates) paid online for admission to the above programs.

Ques. Does NIEPA provide bachelor's courses?

Ans. No, NIEPA only provides master's and PhD courses for educational policies and training. 

Ques. What are the eligibility criteria for a full-time PhD?

Ans. A candidate seeking admission to the PhD (full-time) programme should meet the eligibility criteria as mentioned:

  1. Three copies of a brief write-up (in the prescribed format) on a proposed research topic on current affairs in the broader framework of educational policy, planning and administration.
  2. M. Phil. Graduates are eligible for admission to a PhD program after proper screening by the admissions committee if they received an FGPA of 5 or higher on a 10-point scale.

Ques. Can I apply offline?

Ans. Yes, you can. Applications must be received by the Registrar, NIEPA, 17-B, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi-110016 by May 16, 2022.

Ques. What are the criteria for applying to a part-time program?

Ans. Candidates seeking admission to a part-time PhD Program must meet the following criteria: (i) must be currently employed full-time; (ii) must be a senior-level educational functionary with at least five years of teaching/research experience in educational policy, planning and administration.
