TMV Admission Dates 2027

TMV is expected to follow a March to August admission schedule for the 2027-28 cycle. The timeline is likely to include UG and PG applications, entrance exams such as CUET UG, MAH MBA CET and MAH MCA CET, and counselling after the application phase.

TMV accepts different entrance exams for different course groups. The selection route may be based on entrance scores, Class XII marks, counselling, interview rounds, or department-level merit rules.

TMV Courses and Fees

TMV has more than 100 programmes at UG, PG, diploma, certificate, and doctoral levels through 13 departments. Law, management, journalism, and digital arts are among its major study areas. Many of its courses have lower fees than several other private universities in Pune.

Some of TMV’s less common options include BA (Japanese), which can support careers in Japanese MNCs and diplomatic services, and MA (Knowledge Systems and Practice), an interdisciplinary humanities course at PG level. The Digital Arts department also offers animation and media production through degree, diploma, and postgraduate diploma routes.

TMV Admission Process

TMV uses CUET UG for many UG courses, MAH MBA CET for MBA, and MAH MCA CET for MCA. BPT admission is linked to NEET UG. Law applicants can use CLAT scores or take TMV CET. The university also conducts TMV CET as another admission route for several courses.

Law Programmes (BA LL.B. / BBA LL.B. / LL.B.)

For BA LL.B. and BBA LL.B., students must pass 10+2 with at least 45 percent. The 3-year LL.B. needs a bachelor’s degree with 45 percent. Both law courses are recognised by BCI.

BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy)

BPT applicants must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English in 10+2 and scored at least 45 percent. A valid NEET UG score is compulsory. BPT runs for 4.5 years and includes a 6-month compulsory internship in the final term.

BCA, BBA, B.Com, BA, and Journalism Programmes

Students who have passed 10+2 with 45 percent aggregate can apply for these courses. Reserved category applicants need 40 percent. Admission is based on CUET UG, TMV CET, or direct merit. B.Com and BBA applicants do not need to have studied Commerce earlier. For MCA, students need a bachelor’s degree with Mathematics, 55 percent aggregate, and a valid MAH MCA CET or TMV CET score.

TMV Placements

Placement results at TMV differ from one department to another because the university offers a wide mix of courses. According to NIRF 2023-24 placement data, 3-year UG students received a median package of INR 1.6 LPA, while 2-year PG students received INR 3 LPA.

The highest package reported by the university was INR 15 Lakhs. Most campus hiring happens in management, computer applications, journalism, and digital arts. Law students often move towards litigation, civil services, and judicial careers, while physiotherapy students usually choose clinical roles in hospitals and rehabilitation centres.

TMV Rankings

TMV has no published NIRF rank at present. In the IIRF Deemed University Rankings 2025, it is ranked 76th among Deemed Universities in India. The university also holds NAAC Grade B++ accreditation.

BCI recognises TMV’s law courses, AICTE recognises its management and technology programmes, and NCTE recognises its teacher education courses. Students mainly consider TMV for its multi-disciplinary course list and its long history of more than 100 years in Pune.

TMV Scholarships

TMV helps eligible students apply for central and Maharashtra government scholarship schemes. The university does not list a separate merit scholarship plan on its official website, but students who meet the rules can apply through government scholarship portals.

Students looking at private Deemed Universities in Pune often compare TMV with Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU) and MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU). All three are UGC-recognised Pune-based institutions with UG and PG courses in fields such as law, management, and arts.

Bharati Vidyapeeth has a wider course range and a higher NAAC grade, so it may suit students who want engineering or medical options along with management. TMV has lower fees and uncommon programmes in Japanese, Sanskrit, and digital arts. MIT-WPU is stronger for engineering and design, but its fees are higher.
