University of Ladakh was established in 2019. The University has Campuses both in Leh and Kargil and has six degree colleges as constituent colleges. The university offers postgraduate programs such as M.A., M.Com, MCA, and M.Sc along with Ph.D. at the doctoral level. Admission to these courses will be based on merit obtained in previous qualifying examinations.
