AIIMS Guwahati was established in 2017 under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY). It is an autonomous university recognized by the MCI. AIIMS Guwahati provides undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in Medical and Nursing streams. All the admissions are offered based on merit scored in the entrance examinations. NEET UG, INI CET, and the AIIMS Entrance Exams are the accepted entrance examinations at AIIMS Guwahati.
Spread across 189 acres, the University campus is split into three complexes: residential, institutional, and hospital. The residential blocks have semi-furnished hostel facilities for the students. The Institute also offers a fully stacked central library that offers both offline and online digital resources.

Course Curriculum Overview:
In the beginning, the batches faced struggles in academics and all because it was new and was set up in a temporary campus but now for new batches, it is very good for all the academics and all the facilities are available. Faculties are top-class and very helpful in every way. Scholarships are also there as it's a central institute. Its college fees are about Rs. 6000/- for the whole graduation.
Remarks:
For me, this college was new at that time as I was in the first batch. I decided to choose this college after taking the NEET UG exam in which I scored 610 marks in 2020. I got this college in the last round and selected this because of its location as it's a very beautiful place in terms of location and many tourist places are nearby. Another this is that it's a central institute and has very low college fees.
