Before Enrolling At The UO
  • Maintaining honorable grades for the remainder of high school.
  • Completing all courses required.
  • Should not complete any courses or receive credits from any college or post-secondary institution after high school graduation.

Renewal Criteria
  • The scholarship renewal is evaluated annually at the end of each spring term. To renew, students must: a) Maintain a 3.00 cumulative University of Oregon GPA and b) Complete 12 UO credits for each term in which they receive a disbursement of their scholarship.
  • If students do not meet renewal criteria at the time of the annual renewal review, they may work toward having the scholarship reinstated in subsequent terms by raising their GPA and/or completing additional credits. Contact the UO Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships when students are again meeting the criteria.

Length Of Scholarship

Students may have up to 12 academic terms of the scholarship to use for undergraduate study. The 12 terms of eligibility must be used within five years of the first scholarship disbursement.

Disbursement Of Scholarship

One-third of the yearly scholarship amount will be disbursed to the student billing account each term in which they are enrolled full-time.

Summer Courses

The UO Excellence Scholarship is not applicable to the summer term charges.

Dual Enrollment

Students will have to be enrolled in 12 credits at the University of Oregon in a given term for their scholarship to be disbursed to their student account, regardless of how many credits they take between the UO and another institution.

Final Term Of Attendance

In the course of the final term of attendance at the UO prior to graduation, students may have that term’s scholarship amount in full if they are enrolled less than full-time, as long as they have officially applied for graduation for that term and are enrolled in at least six credits.
