Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Current Australian registration as a registered nurse or, if applicable, a provisional registration at the time the student's program begins; or
Candidates who are able to provide equivalent international experience but do not match the requirements of the above clause still meet the requirements. Under certain conditions, an applicant's research topic may be restricted to a non-clinical setting; a Bachelor of Nursing degree or another suitable degree; a minimum of two years of relevant post-registration nursing experience, or as the program coordinator deems appropriate; and
The Dean of the School of Nursing and Midwifery may require an applicant to demonstrate to them that they can comprehend and speak English well enough to pursue a career in either written or spoken form.
