General-category applicants need at least 50%, while SC/ST applicants need 40%. The maximum age on the admission date is 25 years, with relaxation available to reserved categories.

  • Complete registration and submit the form through the AIISH admission portal, aiishmysore.in, within the application period.

AIISH Mysore Placements and Career Outcomes

AIISH does not organise standard campus placement drives. BASLP and M.Sc graduates qualify as licensed audiologists and speech-language pathologists. Demand for these professionals is high and continues to grow in public and private healthcare across India.

Employment options include AIIMS and other government hospitals, central and state government medical colleges, rehabilitation units in private hospitals, Ministry of Social Justice rehabilitation centres, schools for children with hearing impairment and independent clinics. AIISH alumni also work as faculty members at AIISH, AYJNIHH Mumbai and state government institutes.

AIISH Mysore Campus and Infrastructure

NAIMISHAM, the main AIISH campus, occupies 32 acres in the academic area of Manasagangothri, Mysuru, alongside the University of Mysore. Facilities include teaching blocks, advanced laboratories for audiology and speech-language pathology, and a full audiological diagnostic centre that treats patients.

Thousands of patients use the campus clinic each year for hearing assessments, hearing-aid fitting, speech therapy and cochlear-implant rehabilitation. Students therefore receive clinical training in one of India's most active speech and hearing settings. The main campus has a ladies' hostel, while the Panchvati campus provides the gents' hostel. Two satellite centres in Mysore support community outreach and rehabilitation work.

AIISH Mysore vs AYJNIHH Mumbai vs Manipal College of Allied Health Sciences

Students considering audiology or speech-language pathology often compare AIISH Mysore, Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (AYJNIHH) in Mumbai, and Manipal College of Allied Health Sciences (MCOAHS) in Manipal. All three offer BASLP and M.Sc study in these fields.

AIISH and AYJNIHH are national institutes supported by the government, so both provide subsidised fees. Manipal CAHS costs considerably more but places students within a larger university offering wider exposure to allied health fields. Among the three, AIISH has a NAAC A grade and a 32-acre clinical campus with a strong research focus. A student's location preference and the timing of each entrance test can also shape the final decision.
