Birpara College was founded in 1986 as a government-sponsored institution of higher learning, in Alipurduar, West Bengal. The college is recognized by UGC and is affiliated with North Bengal University (NBU). It offers admission to BA, B.Com, and B.Sc under the University of North Bengal. Admission to the college is done on the basis of merit secured in the 10+2 exam or equivalent examination.
