FTII Admission Updates
FTII offers two-year acting courses as well as three-year postgraduate diploma programmes in direction, screenplay writing, art direction, production design, sound recording and design, editing, and cinematography. A postgraduate diploma programme in feature film screenwriting is available for one year. The institute also offers postgraduate certificate programmes in video editing, electronic cinematography, sound recording for television, and direction.
- Film and Television Institute of India is introducing five new evening online courses in August and September. The courses are Basic Course in Photography and Light Painting (Online), Introduction to Podcasting and Audio Media (Online), Basic Course on Smartphone Documentary (Online), Foundation Course in Screenplay Writing (Online), Fundamentals of Film Direction
- Candidates pursuing postgraduate diploma and certificate programmes must complete the nationally standardised Joint Entrance Test to be admitted to the institute (JET).
- Admission to all PG programmes is based on JET scores as well as performance during the interview and orientation phases.

FTII PG Admission 2023
The Courses are divided into two wings under which there are different courses of different duration. The courses under different wings are:

Eligibility Criteria
- For every course, candidates must have a bachelors degree in any discipline to apply for the course.
- For Art Direction and Production Design course, candidates must have a bachelors degree in Applied Arts, Architecture, Painting, Sculpture, Interior Design or related fields in Fine Arts or equivalent diploma from a recognized institute in any of the above

- First, candidates need to visit the official wbsite of FTII and click on apply for JET.
- After that, candidates need to fill the application form.
- Then upload required documents.
- And the last step is to pay the application fee and submit the application form.

Ques. I wish to pursue a cinematography diploma. Is there a course with a one-year duration?
Ans. Yes, there are a lot of offline and online courses accessible for cinematography.
Ques. If I received my graduation in fashion technology from NIFT Chennai, am I still eligible for admission to FTII's PG Art Direction programme?
Ans. Any graduate who receives a minimum score of 40% is qualified to apply for the FTII PG diploma programme. Your admission to the institute will be determined by your performance on the FTII JET written exam.
Ques: Is there a hostel at this college?

Ans: The following topics will be covered in the FTII JET 2023 Syllabus:
The exam paper for the Film Wing will be split into Section A and Section B. Candidates will be tested on their general aptitude in Section A, which includes questions about architecture, the arts, movies, and other topics. Candidates will be asked questions from the Specific Area Aptitude Test in Section B, which includes lengthy descriptive questions as well as short notes-style questions.
