The Indian Institute of Oilseeds Research also referred to as IIOR was established on 1st August 1977, as a leading research institute in India. It was set up by the Indian Council for Agricultural Research in Hyderabad, Telangana, and focuses on the study and development of oilseeds. The college offers Ph.D. degrees in Agriculture and admission is based on the AICE JRF/SRF Ph.D. entrance examination conducted by NTA.
