Read Full ReviewI was interested in Filmmaking and Graphics Designing, that made me choose Visual Communication at Sjcc. The course contains both theoretical and practical subjects. Faculties have generally good knowledge about topics and teaching method is understandable. College also provides access to equipments like camera, gimbal, tripod, lenses etc for college based projects and other facilities like green matte studio, Dolby studio, theatre, editing lab, 2D animation lab etc.
The selection process was divided into two stages, first was a aptitude test followed by an interview. It was both conducted on same date. Aptitude Test consists of general questions related to Films and Media, storyboard drawing and a character sketch. After the test, an interview will be conducted where we can submit our previous works or portfolios, the interviewer's will look into our drawings, and will ask questions related to the particular course.

This college is not like any other the freedom they give is surely more than any other but with all protections needed.

Read Full ReviewThe course curriculum is really simple with five subjects in each semester with a total of six semesters for three years. Certain percentage of attendance is also mandatory say, 75%. Few faculties may seem outdated but are very knowledgeable. Guest lectures are also held which are fun. Exams are conducted every semester and as long as you pay attention in class it's easy to pass.
After the 4th semester we would be eligible for campus placements and we will also have internships during the end of the 5th semester. I got into an animation company for my internship period of one month. There are also direct placements held from college, where some companies that are recruiting and conduct few interviews on a fixed date.

Placements and internships are suggested by the college but most of them may not be favourable for us.The college name has a value in the media industries and internships are easy to get. Placements will be also good.
