What I Liked

Supportive and cheering the students for sports to participate and to achieve something
Supportive in cultural events and also in studies

What I didn’t like

We dislike about their teaching speed, because we can't match with their speed in understanding it
Some lectures are simply come and explain it like a seminar, that effects more on students and studies

Placement Experience:

My plan after getting BDS degree is to complete the MDS degree and work in big hospitals and perfecting in my own work and then come to village and work for some years and then working in other countries

Internships Opportunities:

No am present 1 st year student, i don't have any Idea about it. We can work in our own college also and we can set up our own clinics. I don't have any Idea about it upcoming days we all get to know

My honest review of my college

What I Liked

I like the location of this college and the equipments which are well maintained
I also like the facilities and the central library and friends whom i met here.

What I didn’t like

I don't like the method of teaching,it is boring
I also don't like the food which they provide in the mess

Placement Experience:

As there are less scope for completing only bds i am planning to do specialised course for more chances of employment. For doing that i will have to read and score good marks in neet pg exams for government seat

Internships Opportunities:

As it is dentistry unlike engineering there aren't companies who offer job instead after passing final year you will have to do a one year intern ship and after that the student can open his/her own clinic

Sharavathi Dental College - An overview before you Opt for this !!

What I Liked

Faculty -> The faculty here is very friendly, they help us to achieve better results of our work. They promote us to participate in Conferences and Other events.
Patient Inflow -> This is far most the main thing every Medico / Dentico will see before choosing their college!! And in Shimogga patients cone very often to this college, and there are variety of cases to do, so we gain more and more experience!!

What I didn’t like

Infrastructure -> As compared to other dental colleges, the infrastructure could have been good. Like if we see Ground for football, cricket, it isn't good at all , and Hostel for boys is not at all recommended.
Campus Life -> Since this college is out of the city , there isn't much to discover here to chill , we have to go to the city always to enjoy our time , it's like living isolated sometimes.

Placement Experience:

There aren't like the Placements you get in Engineering, in this course after completing 4 years of studying, you have to COMPULSORY do 1 year pf Internship ( paid-> ?2000/month ). Job opportunities after completing BDS are more in Meteo cities. You can even set up your clinic if you want.

Internships Opportunities:

The one-year internship is compulsory for all the students to complete in this college itself !! Do you get paid? 2000/month and the job is to treat patients in every department every month, do the record work, etc. The task is very similar to that of a doctor!!
