Affiliated to the Vinayaka Missions University, Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology was established in 1998. The institute is accredited by the NBA and AICTE Approved. AVIT Chennai offers courses in Engineering, Technology, Management and Science. IIRF ranked the institute at 58 in BTech Stream, for 2024.

Bachelors of Engineering is the flagship course here, offered in 10 specialisations. Admissions are based on the candidate’s 10+2 marks, solely. The total fees of the program ranges from Rs 2.4 Lakhs to Rs 3.64 Lakhs, based on the specialisation. Admissions to BE is granted via Lateral Entry as well. Other courses offered here are BTech, BSc and MBA.
