SCET College Honest Review

What I Liked

College infrastructure is old and innovative its ambience is good for students
SCET is also known for college fest. All festivals are celebrating very special.

What I didn’t like

Sometime outside students are entering in our college and make noise its harmful for scet students
Some rich students are always showing their power and disturbed middle class students

Placement Experience:

Placement is good but most students do not apply for internships because they going to abroad study and most students apply for off-campus placement. I plan to go abroad for a master's Degree after graduation.

Internships Opportunities:

No, our college is not providing internships for students. EC department faculties are very helpful to students in completing the project and other activities. Its department faculties are supportive of students all the time.

SCET in the Eyes of a Fresher.

What I Liked

Campus first of all, Very Good Aesthetics
Activities, Fest, Seniors, Academics, sports

What I didn’t like

Cleanliness, which can be cured ofcourse
Too much permissions required for venues

Placement Experience:

For Placement, There must be no backlogs and thus everyone with no backlogs can sit for placements. There is Startup Culture highly Promoted. They named it as SSIP. Where any startup can get upto 2.5 Lakh grant for their startup Prototype. I Myself got 2.4 Lakh

Internships Opportunities:

No I haven't for any On Campus internship as I'm still in 1st year. But the college gives the 8th semester as the internship semester where you can join as an intern in any company. On and off campus both.

What I Liked

Training and placement department and laboratories

Placement Experience:

Criteria for placement depends on the company and after reviewing the criteria students need to apply on the portal of Tnp department. Many reputed companies like einfochips, Deloitte,MG motors, TCS etc visit college for the placement. This year highest package offered to the mechanical branch was 7.5 LPA. I plan to do masters after completing my bachelor's.

Internships Opportunities:

Jainam broking, MeMighty, JSW cement, STPL, etc offers good stipend of 6000-7000 . Without stipend many companies offer internship opportunities like Larsen and Toubro l, kribhco, NTPC, ONGC etc. Without

The Best College of Engineering in Surat.

What I Liked

The Best thing of the College is , they have well qualified and the faculties ever, they all are very supportive and helping to everyone.
College has a Active Placement cell , that always work hard for students to. get best opportunities.

What I didn’t like

The Fees of course is little expensive than other engineering colleges of surat, but is is value for money.
The Security of gate , watchmans are not so much active they just sit at one place.

Placement Experience:

Fortunately rather than other colleges of Surat. Sarvajanik College provides placement opportunities every year to the students, There is an Active and well hard-working placement cell in the college that always looks towards new opportunities and immediately gives information about that thing. They arrange placement fairs every year as per the rules. Now If we want to sit in placement drive there are minimum criteria in college that, we should maintain our CGPA or SPI 7 or above. there are very big companies visiting campus every year like, Infosys, TATA, TCS, JP Morgan, Wipro, JIO, L&T, Adani etc.

Internships Opportunities:

Okay, Now For Freshers who are going to almost graduate, So college always looks toward Internship programs and allow the students this best internship. They Keep up-to-date with every student about internships through their active WhatsApp groups. I got my summer internships by college at a Service-based company the overall experience was good there.

Review about my college.

What I Liked

The environment of the collrge it actually really good
The faculty of the college is extremely good

What I didn’t like

No toilets on the 4th floor, have to go down to have a leak
No ACs in the classrooms, have to work whole day in sweat

Placement Experience:

The minimum eligibility criteria for the internship legally is to pass the current semester and every semester before it, there are no recruitments in the college we have to find jobs on our own, the highest packages we get are 3L per annum and the lowest is 1L per year.

Internships Opportunities:

There are a lot of companies that are available to apply for internships but it depends on where you want to work in which city in what type of environment, we are offered roles of Jr. architects mostly.

It was a good decision by me to choose SCET

What I Liked

The infrastructure of college is good and aesthetic. All the departments are separated well and each department have better components for practical and large labs. Parking facilities are good and having too much space. Canteen facility is also there to have a meal for lunch and it is healthy. College have a large shop for xerox and study material so students do not have to go far away to buy materials. There is a large library having all curriculum books and general knowledge books and history books also. At the middle of the campus, there is a amphitheatre situated for events.
SCET is a second most well known engineering college in south Gujarat after SVNIT. It is located in prime area of Surat. Till 2020, college was under GTU and after it shifted in their own University named as sarvajanik university. It records good rank in Gujarat. College provides better opportunities for your career by completing engineering. It provides good knowledge for each topics. College mostly focuses on practical knowledge so students can work efficiently in commercial sector after degree.

What I didn’t like

The one thing I have noticed that, outside of campus there is a shop of nicotine and cigarettes which influences teenagers badly. They cannot get focused if they starting smoking. The canteen provides healthy food but it cannot cook light food, you have to eat oily food mostly.
The other one is about management, they cannot check the id of each student while entering into college as a result many outsiders come into college which may resulting into negative way. Sometimes, faculties take easy on students hence it recorded many bunks during working hours.

Placement Experience:

First of all, to become eligible for the placement you need to pass the exam taken by a company like the aptitude test, practical knowledge and interview skills. TCS, Infosys and many other companies are coming each year in our college for interns. The highest package in our college is nearly 10-12 lacs and the average package is nearly 4-5 lacs. Every year nearly 80% of students get placement. The college runs a TNP cell which helps students to get a job and internship and daily 3-4 opportunities are coming for this. I also get an internship from the college TNP cell.

Internships Opportunities:

Every student has to complete 2 internships in their curriculum. The first one is a summer internship and the duration for this is 15 days during the 7th sem. The second one is for the 8th semester. I also got both internships and the latter one is from campus. I was backend developer during internship and I had to do work major for database purposes. I put my efforts into an e-commerce website and a charity fund collector for tribal welfare. Each student has to pass 2 presentations. My company works in agile fashion for developing a website. At last, I got 10 SPI in the 8th semester.

What I Liked

I would like to say that the faculty members of college are very informative.
Campus of college is also nice which create memory for the students.

What I didn’t like

Administration department is very poor according to me.
Infrastructure of college is of early Era.

Placement Experience:

I have no ideas of this, because I'm not interested in all this stuff. I thinking of masters if possible. According to my aspects, nowadays compilation in this field becomes very much like one guy who's recently completed his/her BSc course they also can compete with a normal B.Tech student.

The SCET Surat

What I Liked

I like the central dome for gathering and all plus the canteen and the hostel life.

What I didn’t like

What i dislike is that the college is not all that big and mighty in the area as well as infrastructure.

Placement Experience:

The eligibility criteria is a 7 cgpa minimum also differs from the needs of the recruiters. There were companies such as AMNS, SRKay Technologies etc. along with other local companies. The highest package would be 12 lpa and the average package is 3.5lpa. The percentage of students getting placed is 40% I guess. After my degree, I would probably get a job.
