SSIPMT Courses and Fees

SSIPMT's main full-time degree groups have durations of 2 or 4 years. B.Tech is its flagship programme and offers 8 specialisations. The table presents the annual charges under the 2026 fee schedule.

CSE-Data Science and CSE with AI are among the newer B.Tech options. They focus on areas linked to data analytics and machine learning jobs. The Production and Operations Management option in the MBA programme connects management study with the institute's engineering background and supports careers involving both fields.

SSIPMT Admission Process

Admission requirements differ by programme. SSIPMT uses entrance scores and the relevant state counselling process to allot most seats. Applicants should complete these steps:

1. Meet the academic eligibility requirement for the selected programme.
2. Take an accepted entrance examination, where required.
3. Register for the applicable CGPET or CSVTU counselling process.
4. Enter the correct SSIPMT counselling code and submit course or branch preferences.
5. Accept the allotted seat and complete the institute's document and fee formalities.

B.Tech Admission

For B.Tech, applicants need at least 45% marks in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Both CGPET and JEE Main ranks are accepted. CSVTU counselling assigns seats according to rank, category and preferred branch. The institute's counselling code is EN 135.

Diploma holders from a relevant engineering field may seek lateral entry directly into the second year. These applicants must use the separate CGPET lateral-entry counselling route.

MBA Admission

An applicant must have a bachelor's degree from a recognised university with at least 50% marks. SSIPMT accepts CAT, MAT, CMAT and the state-level CGPET Management test. Seat allotment takes place through state counselling under institute code MB 117. The standard CGPET counselling route does not include an institute-level group discussion or personal interview.

M.Tech Admission

M.Tech applicants require a B.Tech or BE degree with at least 55% marks. Candidates with a valid GATE score receive priority during allotment. CGPET Technical PG counselling handles admission under code ME 135. GATE-qualified scholars can receive AICTE scholarship support while studying M.Tech.

Accepted Exams and Eligibility

Ph.D. applications are accepted on a rolling basis through direct contact with the institute. The academic session covered by the active admission cycle is 2026-27.

SSIPMT Placements

For the 2025 batch, SSIPMT reported a top package of INR 42 LPA from Microsoft. The average package was INR 7.5 LPA, and the lowest offer was INR 6.5 LPA. Companies from IT services, product development, consulting and other service sectors joined the recruitment drive.

The confirmed 2025 recruiter list includes Microsoft, Adobe, HackerRank, Zscaler, SAP, TCS, Accenture and Tech Mahindra. The mix of recruiters was mainly IT-focused, supported by the institute's CS and AI programmes and its location near Raipur's developing IT corridor.

Engineering students commonly move into IT services, product companies and analytics positions. MBA graduates take roles in banking, operations and manufacturing organisations across Chhattisgarh and Central India. B.Tech students from CSE and AI and Machine Learning account for the strongest placement figures.

SSIPMT Rankings

SSIPMT takes part in NIRF assessments for Engineering, Management, Innovation and Overall categories. Its confirmed Engineering position was 151 in 2023. In Innovation, the institute appeared in the 151 to 300 band for both 2026 and 2025. It also holds a NAAC A+ grade.

SSIPMT Scholarships

Students can apply for AICTE and Government of Chhattisgarh financial-aid schemes when they meet the required conditions. These include Pragati for female students, Saksham for students with disabilities and state post-matric support for eligible SC, ST, OBC and EWS students.

The institute may also provide merit-based awards during admission. Students should review current scholarship notices on the official SSIPMT website before applying.

SSIPMT Campus and Infrastructure

SSIPMT operates in Raipur, Chhattisgarh's capital and a major centre for engineering education. Its location gives students access to the city's IT offices, public-sector headquarters and state government establishments. CSVTU and several private engineering institutions also operate in the region.

Facilities include branch-specific engineering laboratories, smart classrooms and computer centres with internet connectivity. Students also have access to a central library with digital resources and a sports ground. Academic administration and examination facilities linked to CSVTU are available on campus.

There are two residential facilities inside the campus. Sandipani Ashram houses male students, while Kalpvalli Bhawanam accommodates female students. The annual hostel charge is up to INR 66,400 for either hostel. Their on-campus location provides accommodation for students coming from outside Raipur.

SSIPMT vs Rungta College vs BIT Durg

SSIPMT, Rungta College of Engineering and Technology, and Bhilai Institute of Technology, also known as BIT Durg, are prominent private engineering colleges in Chhattisgarh. Each is affiliated with CSVTU and admits students from the same CGPET applicant pool.

Among these institutions, SSIPMT has the higher NAAC grade of A+ and participates in NIRF. BIT Durg is the oldest, having opened in 1986, while Rungta College has the largest private engineering intake in Raipur. CSVTU regulation keeps their fees within similar ranges. SSIPMT provides the strongest choice among the three for students specifically seeking newer AI and Data Science branches.
