THE PROS AND CONS OF STUDING IN SNGCE

What I Liked

I like the infrastructure and the looks of the college building, I like the campus
I like hostel facilities and food of the college; I like the way of conducting the examinations
I like the facility in the library and store facility inside the campus

What I didn’t like

I dislike the faculties and way of their teaching in the college
I dislike the infrastructure maintenance of the college and lack of cleanliness around the campus

Placement Experience:

The eligibility criteria for placement are zero arrear and back papers Navalt Solar& electric boats, Capital register of shipping, Aries marine and engineering services, Nirmon marine and offshore design All the company offers a basic salary of rupees 20,000. The percentage of students placed is 40% My plan is to join as a junior naval architect in a designing company

Internships Opportunities:

I haven't opted any internship during the time of college. The internship opportunities offered by the company to the college is less the roles offered by the companies to the students are generally junior naval architect with stipend. The main project is done by single and is to design a vessel and is to make report based on it and is present it in the final review exam

What I Liked

Lab's and infrastructure's. College cafés and faculty support's are the best.

What I didn’t like

Program's are very less compared to other college's

Placement Experience:

College provides best placement cell's and almost every student's graduated from college are working in best industries and companies as Techno park's and ISRO etc. Students with a good CGPA will get placement's surely.

Internships Opportunities:

Personally i don't opted any programs currently because am studying in first year so after my 3rd sem i will be trying in internship program in nearby company's such as synthite. There is no extra task's in that internship program and everything will be easy for us as we students are already expert's in going. We are trained in college's before internships.

What I Liked

Lab facilities of the college is better than any other colleges.
Infrastructure of this college is unique.

What I didn’t like

Faculty facilities are less in every department.
Campus life is not that much enjoyable .

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are lesser than compared to other colleges. Most of the companies that come to this college is basically synthyte , tata , amazon, jio etc. The highest a company has offered a salary package was 7 lakhs per annum

Internships Opportunities:

No . I haven't done any internship programs . There are so many internship programs are coming. But there are no intership programs that offers stipend for student trainees. Like Kel other companies have come for offers with intership programs.

What I Liked

The campus is a clean and have peaceful environment.
The students are friendly . There are good teacher that help you .

What I didn’t like

The most of the faculty doesn't know how to teach.
The class time is very boring as most of the time you don't understand anything.

Placement Experience:

The eligibility criteria for placement is you should score above 6cgpa. Highest package offered was 34lakhs. most of the companies that visit are IT companies. Most of the students doesn't get placed but some does.

Internships Opportunities:

The students apply for internship by themselves. The project that are done by students.

What I Liked

College infrastructure: The college infrastructure is modern and well-equipped,also the college has NAAC, NBA accreditation.
Faculty:The faculty at the college consists of highly qualified and experienced professors. Who has completed M.tech and some of them have Doctorate.

What I didn’t like

Infrastructure: classrooms don't have airconditioner, and projectors
Faculty: In my point of view all faculties are polite and sincere.

Placement Experience:

The main criteria for campus placement is no backlog papers and maintain an average CGPA.The campus placement offers comes every year and many students got the placement.And one of the my senior got a job offer from Oracle. After the this degree I'm planning to take M.tech and I wise to become a professor.

Internships Opportunities:

I attended many online and offline internship programs, where we learned about Arduino UNO and I got the participation certificate ,we can add those certificates to our LinkedIn profile.currently I'm not attended internships which provides stipends and I'm planning to attend.

What I Liked

The indoor view of the campus and the celebration programs
The arts and tech fest days of the college that goes on for a week

What I didn’t like

Age gap between 60% of the faculty and us
Lack of a big auditorium for the whole campus to join in while conducting program

Placement Experience:

There are campus placements from companies from info park Kochi since it's near to us. Most of the students from my dept who had passed out are placed with either campus placement facility or self-intervised.

Internships Opportunities:

There are other internship programs like data science courses etc but I haven't attended an internship yet. Most of the students do it online and others do by going to other companies nearby. We get a semester break to do the internship annually

What I Liked

The infrastructure is okay the faculty is okay
The campus is good and okay, campus life is good.

What I didn’t like

The college transportation is very bad that imean using private bus is tough
The college iv and programs are just not just national level

Placement Experience:

The opportunities offered by this course are junior estimator, naval architect, web designer, web developers, etc... The average package level is fifty thousand for average GPA students in our college.

Internships Opportunities:

No, I have not opted for any internships but we have internships at cochin shipyard, Aries Marine, visakhapatnam, and many more shipyards, and shipbuilding companies in India. The project has not yet started for us now
