Established in 2002 as a private institute, Thakur Institute of Management Studies and Research Mumbai is NBA approved and NAAC accredited. Affiliated to Mumbai University, the institute has been established by the Thakur Education Group. TIMSR Mumbai offers a range of PG and PG Diploma courses in Management and Financial Management.

Approved by the AICTE and DTE, TIMSR Mumbai MMS program spans across a duration of two years. Candidates must apply to the University of Mumbai for registration to MMS. Graduates with 50% marks, along with qualifying marks in MMS-CET/CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT/ATMA/GMAT Exams are eligible to apply for the program. Selection will be based on the entrance exam scores. The total intake for this program in AY 2024-2025 is 240 seats. The total fees of this program is Rs 5.15 Lakhs. Candidates may also avail Lateral Entry to MMS. The total intake for MMS via Lateral Entry is 14 seats.
Apart from MMS, TIMSR Mumbai offers a variety of other management programs which include BMS, PGDM, and Phd in Management. The institute also offers MMS in Financial Management, in part-time mode.
