SSCASR, popularizing an overlooked science

What I Liked

The facilities available are of pristine quality, the hostels are clean, the classrooms are spacious, the professors are extremely knowledgeable and the curriculum is extremely useful.
Campus Life is subjective but is largely enjoyed by most. The canteen is a place of great importance and so is the mess. The library is huge and allows for seating about a 100 students at a time.

What I didn’t like

The hostel sometimes has trouble with water and can sometimes be harsh with rules. One cannot stray outside hostel after certain hours and the security rules are more strict than usual.
The food sometimes fluctuates in terms of quality and the crowd sometimes may not be ideal for some.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are plenty after graduating from this college. As this is a college with a lot of rich background and with the backing of the Sri Sri trust, the changes of a good placement is high. One must finish a compulsory internship of one year in the hospital before being eligible to practice. Right after that, people are able to secure packages of as much as 20 LPA with average being around 7 LPA. My plans after getting the degree is to work as a general duty doctor until senior doctors preferably in a multi speciality hospital and simultaneously do my post graduation so I can set up my own clinic.

Remarks:

I wrote the NEET UG examination and chose this college during counseling. One must enroll in KEA counseling, complete document verification and go through rounds of online counseling to join Sri Sri college of ayurvedic science and research. One must also secure 50% and above in their PUC or CBSE board exams. The college faculty, the hostel facilities, the large hospital and the laboratories were a big driving force in my choice of this college. However, the college is far from the main city of Bangalore.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Teachers are highly qualified with degrees like MD etc Here they conduct 3 exams per year with good difficulty level Teaching methods are also good with practicals which they conduct on a daily basis which helps students in further practice

Remarks:

An interview exam was held during admission and I was selected through it It is a good college with a good campus Staff are of old experienced as well as young and intelligent Also, college is connected with our roots of devotion and self-development through Ayurveda

College is overall good...it's just that it will take time to adapt the new life.

What I Liked

The campus is at a great location and it's peaceful
There is a lot of trees which gives a nice view .

Placement Experience:

There is no placement in the medical field....the students have to go and reach different hospitals and have to show their knowledge then only they can get a job. Many students prefer opening their clinic.

Remarks:

I searched for some colleges and got some reviews regarding this particular college about its academics, so I went to the college and met the staff and students who were studying there and asked them about their reviews and then I selected this college. The admission process was good and easy.

Good for people interested in Research field and wants to learn Ayurveda

What I Liked

I like the environment of the campus which is out from the city’s noise and covered with greenery all around😍 also the herbal garden .
The second thing which i like about the college is being close to the Art of Living aashram which gives you another opportunity to involve in seva and also to meet Gurudev more frequently.🙏🏻

What I didn’t like

Disliking about college is Internship without any stipend.
Being quite far from the city it takes a lil extra time to go for any good place and restaurants .

Placement Experience:

Eligibility criteria for placement is that one must have to pass in all the professional years with good marks.Percentage of students getting placement is actually quite low as of now.One of the senior got placement in Himalaya company .

Remarks:

For the admission in the BAMS course ,one must have to qualify in NEET exam.I chose this college because of it’s teaching pattern which is as per the NCISM rules and bcz of the practical exposure too,which i got to know through the seniors.
