UPTAC 2024 Counselling Process

Here is a step-by-step guide for the UPTAC 2024 Counselling application process:

Step 1: Online Registration and Document Upload

First, you need to register on the official Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling website, uptac.admissions.nic.in (Link above). Use your JEE Main pplication number and password to complete the registration. After registering, upload your personal and academic details as required.

Step 2: Payment of Counselling Fees

After uploading your documents, you must pay the Counselling Fees of INR 1000. You can pay this fee through various online payment modes such as debit card, credit card, or net banking.

Step 3: Document Verification

Once your documents are uploaded, they will be verified by the Central Document Verification Team. Upon successful verification, you will receive a receipt via email or SMS.

Step 4: Online Choice Filing

After document verification, log in to the official website using your credentials to access the choice filling section. Here, you can select your preferred institutions and branches in order of priority.

Step 5: Seat Allotment

Based on your choices, the authorities will release the seat allotment results online. Use your login credentials to check your seat allotment status.

Step 6: Seat Acceptance and Fee Payment

Once you have been allotted a seat, you need to decide whether to Float or Freeze the allotted seat. You must pay a Seat Acceptance fee of INR 20,000 for General and OBC categories and INR 12,000 for SC and ST categories.

Step 7: Online Choices

If you are not satisfied with the allotted seat, you have the following options:

• Freeze Option: Choose to freeze the allocated seat if you are satisfied with the decision.
• Float Option: Hold on to the assigned seat but remain eligible for further rounds of counselling.
• Withdrawal Option: Cancel the assigned seat if you are not satisfied and wish to withdraw from the counselling process.

Step 8: Reporting to the Allotted College

After accepting the seat and paying the fee, you need to report to the allotted college within the specified time period. Bring all required documents to complete the admission process.
