This year, SVKM’s NMIMS Bengaluru hosted TEDx Bengaluru’s 11th edition with the theme, "Rhythm of Revelation: Where Chance Encounters Brilliance." The theme gave an intriguing concept of how unexpected connections and accidental moments can lead to amazing discoveries and success.

NMIMS has achieved several privileges over the years. In the 15th year of its journey, the institute has achieved recognition as one of the top 15 private business management schools in India. TEDx Bengaluru has been an important thought-provoking, and inspiring event witnessing the presence of eminent speakers. Past TEDx Bengaluru editions have gained eminent praise for featuring renowned speakers, fostering intellectual discussions, and igniting meaningful conversations on a variety of topics.

The 11th edition of TEDx Bengaluru witnessed a wide range of participants and brought distinct viewpoints that strongly connected to the theme of the event, "Rhythm of Revelation: Where Chance Encounters Brilliance."

The senior assistant Senior Assistant Editor at The Hindu Business Line Mr Vinay Kamath, is famous for analytical writing and insightful reporting in business journalism. He has pursued a degree in MBA to start his career in journalism and spoke about embarking on writing a book on Titan, a TATA group company. He said, “It was a revelation that the founding of such a big company was a journey of several accidental and serendipitous moments,” he said.

Global Head DEI & Leadership Development, Biocon Biologics Dr. Chella Pandian Pitchai has an immense experience of 25 years in the biotechnology field. He also served as an executive coach, a life coach, and a certified health coach. He shared his thoughts about his addiction to finding ‘the next best version’ of NBV and techniques of achieving the same. He said, “I researched by interviewing people across generations. It is a continuous process. After talking to several people, I came up with a formula called TEDASK – Talent, Energy, Demonstration, Attitude, Skill, Knowledge – it is about bringing all these things together, being self-inclusive, self-competent and self-conscious, self-coach to achieve the next best version.”

CEO of Brand Circle MS. Malavika Harita, who is best in communication, brand strategy, and corporate training. She has 41 years of experience in her field. She provides mentorship at NSRCEL and other incubators nationwide. She shared thoughts on her theory of conscious serendipity and said, “Serendipity is a very fashionable term today and according to me we should be able to take advantage of both beautiful and awful serendipitous moments which come our way.”

The founder of Happiest Health Line Dr. Sharon Rajkumar is a dedicated supporter of holistic wellness. She has a background in nutrition and fitness. She launched her brand to inspire people to achieve optimal health and happiness. She shared her thoughts about happiness and said, “Happiness evangelism is a responsibility we all carry, especially for leaders of organizations in the VUCA environment.” 

CEO of Metroride India Mr Girish Nagpal is a seasoned entrepreneur and advocate of public transport famous for his contributions to the development of efficient metro systems. He is also a supporter of sustainable urban mobility. He spoke about the topic ‘Tough times make you tougher’ and discussed his own story of difficulties and how he overcame them. He added, “When quitting is not an option, the circumstances and people will align to give you the new life of your dreams,”

Law postgraduate and gold medalist Mr. Prasanna Mysore has spent his life serving from independent council to key roles in big corporations. He shared his thoughts about his life and said, “In life, you will encounter a fork and will have to choose. You have to be a judge of your capabilities to see if you can stand up to the unknown challenges your decision may entail.”

These speakers collectively shared thoughts about the random encounters and fortunate events that helped them in their personal development and advancement.
