SDA Bocconi Asia Center Admission Dates 2027

SDA Bocconi Asia Center has opened admissions for the 2027 session. IMB applicants can apply with CAT, GMAT, NMAT by GMAC, GRE or the institute's Bocconi Test.

The IMB 2027-29 intake is the 16th edition of the program. The admission cycle has four application rounds, and the later rounds run only if seats are still available.

SDA Bocconi Asia Center Courses and Fees

SDA Bocconi Asia Center offers a full-time postgraduate business program along with executive programs. The listed total fee starts at INR 1 Lakh for a short luxury program and goes up to INR 21 Lakhs for the executive master.

The INR 20.75 Lakhs IMB fee includes an admission fee of INR 2.75 Lakhs and tuition and academic charges of INR 18 Lakhs. The offer letter gives the instalment schedule.

The four-month Milan term does not carry any extra tuition fee. Students still need to plan separately for travel and living costs, including airfare of EUR 850 to 1,000, housing of EUR 500 to 650 per month and a stay permit cost of about EUR 250.

In the second year, elective options include Brand Management, Strategic Marketing, Pricing Strategies, Investment Banking, Mergers and Acquisitions, Digital Platforms and Fintech, and Global Operations and Supply Chain Management. Each student chooses four electives to form a track.

SDA Bocconi Asia Center Admission Process

SDA Bocconi Asia Center selects students through a profile-based process. Test scores are used for screening, while essays, interviews and past academic performance also matter. IMB applicants may take the Bocconi Test without paying an extra test fee. It is an online computer-adaptive test with 54 questions on verbal, numeric and inductive reasoning, and it takes about 70 minutes.

IMB Admission

For the International Master in Business, applicants must meet these conditions:

• They must have a bachelor's degree in any field or be in the final year of graduation.
• They need at least 55% separately in Class 10, Class 12 and graduation.
• The average across Class 10, Class 12 and graduation must be at least 70%.
• Freshers can apply, and professionals with up to 5 years of work experience are also eligible.
• A valid CAT, GMAT, NMAT by GMAC, GRE or Bocconi Test score must be submitted before the application is filed.

In recent admission cycles, the CAT cutoff for IMB has stayed at the 90 percentile, after moving up from 85 percentile earlier. NMAT shortlisting has been near the 80 percentile, and the indicative GMAT benchmark is 640.

After paying the application fee of INR 3,500, applicants go through these selection stages:

• Submit the online application with test score, CV, transcripts and essays
• Book the Bocconi Test if choosing that test route
• Complete the AI-based interview round
• Attend the personal interview with the admissions panel
• Go through admissions committee review and final evaluation
• Receive the offer letter along with the scholarship decision

The recent IMB batch profile shows an average age of 23 years. Women made up 52 percent of the class, students came from 23 states and Union Territories, and 55 percent had previous work experience.

Executive Program Admission

The IEMB is meant for mid-senior managers and requires 9 or more years of work experience. The admitted class has an average work experience of about 16.4 years and an average age close to 40. Applicants submit a valid GMAT or GRE score and then appear for a personal interview.

GEPI looks for entrepreneurial intent and asks for 3 years of work experience or active involvement in a family-owned business. The three-day Executive Program in Luxury also requires 3 years of experience and is open to managers from retail, fashion and luxury.

SDA Bocconi Asia Center Placements

SDA Bocconi Asia Center completed IMB Class of 2025 placements with a 100 percent placement rate. The average annual compensation was INR 14.10 LPA, and the top quartile recorded an average of INR 18.21 LPA.

The highest package for the placement cycle stood at INR 36.50 LPA. More than 70 recruiters joined the placement process.

Most roles were in commercial functions. Sales, business development and account management took 45 percent of the batch. Consulting, research, analytics and general management accounted for 33 percent, finance took 11 percent, and the remaining roles were split across human resources, product and project management, and operations.

Recruiting companies came mainly from BFSI, consulting, consumer and technology sectors.

Graduates also join the wider Bocconi alumni network of more than 140,000 members. Career support includes alumni-led mentorship and one-on-one coaching.

Summer internship results for the Class of 2026 followed a similar pattern. The highest monthly stipend was INR 3.2 Lakhs, while the average monthly stipend was INR 46,719.

SDA Bocconi Asia Center Scholarships

SDA Bocconi Asia Center decides scholarships on merit at the offer stage. Students do not need to submit a separate scholarship application, and the scholarship result is shared with the offer letter.

Students who do not receive a waiver can use education loans to pay the fee. The centre lists loan tie-ups with Credila, Axis Bank, Eduvanz, IDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and TATA Capital.

SDA Bocconi Asia Center Campus and Infrastructure

SDA Bocconi Asia Center has a vertical, single-building campus at Hiranandani Knowledge Park in Powai, Mumbai. The centre is located inside Hiranandani Gardens and is close to IIT Bombay, placing students near a busy corporate and start-up area.

The academic setup is designed for smaller cohorts. Classrooms have smart boards and projectors, and the library system gives access to international business databases such as EBSCO Business Source Complete, Factiva and Statista Pro.

Hostel stay is optional. Accommodation is allotted on a first-come, first-served basis in double or triple occupancy rooms in off-campus buildings within Hiranandani Gardens. The facilities include security, Wi-Fi and mess services.

Student activities are run through 8 professional clubs, 3 committees and 4 extra-curricular clubs. SDA Bocconi Asia Center vs K J Somaiya Institute of Management vs Masters' Union

Students comparing SDA Bocconi Asia Center often look at K J Somaiya Institute of Management and Masters' Union too. K J Somaiya Institute of Management is a close Mumbai-based option on fees, while Masters' Union is a closer match for students considering a new-age, non-NIRF business school.

SDA Bocconi Asia Center stands out for international exposure because IMB students spend four months in Milan without paying extra tuition, and the award is backed by triple crown accreditation. K J Somaiya has an NIRF Management rank and a larger Mumbai alumni base, which can help with domestic recruiter reach. Masters' Union reports the highest compensation among the three, but its fee is about 62 percent higher.
