SOIL Institute of Management Admission Dates 2027

The accepted tests and work-experience conditions vary by course. PGDM recognises the broadest range of AICTE-approved entrance examinations.

SOIL Institute of Management Courses and Fees

Three full-time postgraduate management courses are available. Depending on the course, the complete fee ranges from INR 14.50 Lakhs to INR 17.50 Lakhs.

PGDM payments include an enrolment amount followed by four instalments. The first-year charge is INR 9.80 Lakhs, while the second-year charge is INR 7.40 Lakhs. Students also pay a separate security deposit of INR 30,000, which is refundable after completing the course.

The stated fees for all three courses include 18 percent GST on tuition, program and alumni charges. Books, course material, accommodation, the Himalayan outreach trip and the Discover India trip cost extra. Loan and EMI arrangements are available through Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, HDFC Credila, Avanse, Yes Bank, IDFC First Bank and Tata Capital.

Instead of assigning one fixed specialisation, the PGDM allows each student to combine Marketing, Finance, Analytics, Strategy, HR and Operations according to interest and performance. PGPM students select a structured Marketing, Analytics or Finance track. They also study skill modules covering data tools, cloud computing and Gen AI applications.

SOIL Institute of Management Admission Process

SOIL evaluates the applicant's complete profile and does not select students only by their test scores. An entrance-test score is compulsory under AICTE rules, but SOIL specifies neither an overall percentile cutoff nor a sectional cutoff. The exam contributes 35 percent to selection, while the group exercise and personal interview together carry 40 percent. The online application costs INR 2,000.

PGDM Admission

The flagship PGDM lasts two years and is conducted at Manesar. Applicants must meet the following academic, experience and entrance-test conditions.

• Complete a bachelor's degree lasting at least 3 years after 10+2 from a university recognised by UGC or AIU
• Secure at least 50 percent aggregate as a General, OBC or EWS applicant, or 45 percent as an SC or ST applicant
• Final-year applicants may seek admission but must submit their degree by October 1, 2027
• Be a fresher or have less than 36 months of work experience on June 30, 2027
• Hold a valid CAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT, MAT, NMAT, SNAP or ATMA score

The PGDM selection process follows these steps.

• Complete the online form and upload the required documents and recommendations
• Undergo profile shortlisting based on academics, professional experience and achievements
• Take part in a 90-minute Design Thinking Workshop used as the group exercise
• Attend the personal interview and wait 2 to 3 weeks for the decision
• Accept the offer by completing registration and paying the required fee

PGPM and PGPM-HR Admission

The two 12-month courses use the same basic selection format at the Gurgaon campus. PGPM is meant for professionals who already have work experience, whereas PGPM-HR is also open to fresh graduates.

• Hold a bachelor's degree in any subject with at least 50 percent aggregate
• Have a minimum of 60 percent in both Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations
• For PGPM, possess at least 2 years of work experience
• Submit a valid CAT, XAT, NMAT or GMAT score, or take the SOIL Aptitude Test if no such score is available
• Complete GEPI, which includes a group design-thinking activity and a 45-minute personal interview

During the interview, SOIL examines five abilities: thinking, learning, acting, relating and communicating. The institute also builds cohorts with varied backgrounds. Women made up 46 percent of the PGDM 2024-26 batch, whose students came from 24 states. The PGPM-HR cohort had 65 percent women.

No entrance-exam section acts as a qualifying barrier, and SOIL does not prescribe a minimum score. A stronger CAT percentile can improve the examination component, but work experience and interview performance may balance a lower score. Applicants with disabilities are assessed by the same standards, with accommodations available during selection.

SOIL Institute of Management Placements

A dedicated Career Management Services team manages placements for all three courses. In the most recently reported cycles, the PGDM campus received 130 plus firms, while 106 companies hired students from PGPM.

Consulting accounted for the largest share of PGPM recruitment at 35 percent. IT and ITES contributed 23 percent, followed by general management with 21 percent. Recruiters confirmed across different cycles include Accenture, Deloitte, PwC India, Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, HCL, Tech Mahindra, Genpact, Axis Bank, HSBC, Kotak Mahindra, PolicyBazaar, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra and Mahindra, Hero MotoCorp and Gartner. First-time recruiters represented 30 percent of PGPM hiring companies and 40 percent of PGPM-HR hiring companies.

The institute reports a network of 2,500 plus alumni employed by 300 plus organisations across six continents. Its 32 founding companies also contribute mentorship and referrals. Many campus opportunities are in Delhi NCR service roles, so students interested in investment banking or product-management jobs outside the region may also need to pursue off-campus applications.

SOIL improved its position in the IIRF private B-school list from #57 in 2025 to #47 out of 120 in 2026. India Today placed it at #58 among MBA institutes in 2025 and #3 in Haryana during its 2024 ranking cycle.

SOIL Institute of Management Scholarships

SOIL provides five scholarship categories for students across its three courses. Each scholarship can cover up to INR 2 Lakhs. Decisions are made after admission using the applicant's stated family income, academic performance or verified achievements.

SOIL Institute of Management Campus and Infrastructure

The SOIL School of Business Design at Plot 23, Sector 02, Phase 01, Manesar, South Gurugram, houses the two-year PGDM. PGPM and PGPM-HR are offered at Plot 76, Sector 44, Gurgaon. Every room in the Manesar building receives natural light, and the facility uses rainwater harvesting and energy-saving equipment.

Students have access to smart classrooms, design labs, an incubation centre and a digital library. Its resources include academic journals, business reports, case studies and e-books. Course-specific work is supported by an HR Lab and a Product Lab. The campus also provides medical care and full Wi-Fi access.

Manesar does not have a hostel within the campus boundary. SOIL arranges rooms in hostels situated within 2 km and operates buses between these hostels and the campus. The published course fee does not include accommodation charges.

Five Business Academies cover HR, Analytics and Operations, Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Finance. Students can also join 10 clubs. Experiential Fridays include pottery, photography walks and hackathons, while yoga, meditation, dance and counselling form part of the wellness activities. Every PGDM student completes 350 hours of community fieldwork and 100 hours of entrepreneurship activity. Students value the access to faculty and small-cohort teaching, although SOIL has a smaller physical campus than large residential business schools.

SOIL Institute of Management vs Great Lakes Gurgaon vs BIMTECH

Students considering private business schools in Delhi NCR may compare SOIL with Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon and BIMTECH, Greater Noida. Each is a standalone AICTE-approved institute, with total fees extending from the mid-teens to the low-twenties in Lakhs.

Great Lakes Gurgaon has the highest average and maximum CTC for the 12-month option, but it also charges the highest fee. BIMTECH has the lowest stated cost, an NIRF position and a placement average close to SOIL's 24-month PGDM. SOIL falls between them on fees. It accepts more entrance tests and offers a design-thinking curriculum supported by a consortium of 32 founding companies. Its smaller batches can allow easier faculty access than BIMTECH, though they also come with a narrower campus recruiter pool.
