NMAT 2022 registrations will commence in August 2022. The candidates appear for NMAT every year for admissions to some of the top b-schools of India. NMAT 2022 will likely have a 75 days test window. The exam will commence in the second week of October 2022 and it will conclude in the second week of November 10 2021 tentatively. The candidates are tested upon three sections namely- Language Skills, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative skills in NMAT. To ace the exam, the candidates need to attempt a good number of mock tests. 

What is NMAT? 

NMAT is a national-level test. It is a computer-based test conducted by GMAC. It offers admissions to some top colleges like NMIMS Mumbai, VIT Vellore, SRM University, SPJIMR, Thapar School of Management, etc. Also, the exam is conducted abroad and colleges in South Africa, Nigeria, the Philippines, and Morocco offer admissions based on NMAT Performance.

NMAT 2022 Application Form

Interested candidates should fill the application form online on the official website of NMAT whenever launched officially. Step by step procedure of application form filling for NMAT exam are:

  • The first step will be to get registered on the official website of NMAT.
  • Fill in all the details like personal information, contact information, educational details, and work experience accurately.
  • Agree to all the terms and conditions
  • Name and date of birth should match the credentials on your photo ID card.
  • Select the preferred colleges and courses in the choice filling section. You may add 5 courses. Candidates must pay INR 300 for more than 5 courses added.
  • Upload your most recent photograph so that it may be checked in the exam hall and may be used for online protocoling.
  • Lastly pay the application fees online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or any other online payment system
  • Choose your exam slot by confirming the date and time after successful payment of fees
  • After submission, download the form in PDF form.

NMAT 2022 Admit Card

Admit card is the most important document that is to be produced to present before the examiner before entering the exam hall. Admit card will contain details like NMAT ID, name, guardian’s name, photo ID proof, nationality, exam attempt, and signature. The process to download the admit card are:

  • First of all making the payment is compulsory so make sure you did it.
  • Now, log in to the official portal using your website.
  • Navigate to the admit card section and download it in PDF form.
  • Candidates must take a printout on an A4 sheet to carry it to the exam hall.

NMAT 2022 Counseling

There is no centralized counseling for the NMAT exam but the candidate can send their scores to any five of the affiliated B-schools that accept NMAT scores from the official website itself. Even the candidate can send their scores to more than five colleges but they will have to pay INR 300 for each of the extra colleges applied.

NMAT 2022 Seat Allotment

After getting shortlisted for a particular college, candidates are further required to appear in the CD (Case Discussion) and PI (Personal Interview) round. After clearing these rounds, the seat will be allotted to the applicant.

Candidates have to answer questions depending upon the case discussion topic asked. Usually, the topic is based on business. Candidates are divided into groups and they need to prepare strategies on promotion, distribution, advertising, etc for a new business idea. Individual performance will be analyzed and marks will be allotted accordingly. After clearing the NMAT exam, the candidate will be given a chance to appear for a personal interview. The candidate who clears the NMAT exam will be allotted a seat and provided an admission letter.

NMAT 2022 Cut-off

Each college will release its respective cut-off scores for the NMAT exam for the admissions. However, GMAC and NMIMS Mumbai will release a qualifying cut-off that will be considered a qualifying cut-off. The candidate must qualify the minimum cut-off marks to be eligible for the further counseling process. However, the cut-off for a particular year depends upon the factors like:

Ques. How many times NMAT is conducted in a year?

Ans. GMAC conducts the NMAT exam thrice a year. And a candidate has three attempts to apply for the NMAT exam. Test takers can themselves schedule the date and time of the exam as per their choice and then apply for the preferred colleges. Their scores and admission application will be considered in the upcoming counseling of the college.

Ques. Can a person of 35 years of age apply for NMAT?
