NMAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

NMAT states certain eligibility criteria for candidates in terms of their age limit, academic qualifications, nationality, and aggregate marks at the qualifying level and others, which are decided by GMAC.

Age Limit For the NMAT 2026 Exam, there is no age limit as per the GMAC guidelines. Candidates of relevant age groups are eligible to apply for the entrance exam.

NMIMS MBA (Pharmaceutical Management)
  • Full-time Bachelor's degree with an aggregate mark of 50% on the first attempt from a recognized institution.
  • Bachelor’s in Life Science, MBBS, B.Sc and M.Sc in Biotechnology, BDS, Pharmacy, BHMS, BAMS, B.Tech or B.E in Bio-Tech or Bio-Medical, Post graduation in Sociology, Economics, and Psychology are eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
  • Distance Learning, Part-time graduates, and correspondence courses are not eligible for this entrance exam.
  • Candidates having work experience of 2 or more years in pharmaceutical companies are preferred for admission.

NMAT 2026 Eligibility: International Students

International Students should have the following NMAT Eligibility criteria to take the NMAT Entrance exam:

NMAT 2026 Reservation Policy

NMAT is conducted by GMAC, and according to them, there is no specific reservation policy for NMAT Eligibility for any participating college. Therefore, different participating colleges follow their specific reservation criteria for the PGDM/MBA admission process based on the NMAT 2026 Exam. This has to be checked by interested candidates on their respective college websites before the application process.

  • There is no provision for category-wise separate minimum qualifying marks to register for the NMAT Exam. Also, no concession is provided for the NMAT Application Fees for different reserved categories of SC/ST/OBC/PwD.
  • Application Fees and application Criteria are the same for all candidates irrespective of their category. The fee is INR 2300 for everyone.
  • Reservation of seats for wards of armed forces personnel disabled or killed in action or during peacetime, widows, and wards of Kashmiri migrants will be applicable for all the selected candidates after the NMAT 2026 Examination.

Interested candidates are advised to read the following important points of NMAT before filling out the NMAT 2026 Application Form:

  • For all the graduate candidates from Overseas Universities, it is mandatory to have an AIU certificate before admission.
  • Full-time Bachelor’s degree or equivalent should be completed with an aggregate of 50% marks or more. Distance or correspondence course candidates are not eligible to apply for the course.
  • Final Year Bachelor’s degree candidates are also eligible to take the NMAT exam but their admission will be considered provisional till the time they submit their final mark sheet or graduation certificate at the time of admission.
  • For the admission process, candidates need to produce their bachelor’s mark sheet in semester-wise/trimester-wise/ consolidated format of all the years issued from a recognized institution.
  • For submission of hardcopy of mark sheets, attestation has to be done by the Principal with their official seal and without this mark sheets will not be accepted.
  • Candidates whose graduation marks in followed by the Grade Point Average system, need to produce the equivalent percentage of the CGPA/GPA score in writing from the concerned University.
