MBA Eligibility Criteria

MBA Admission Process

The admission process for PGP in Management involves a two-step selection process, typically as follows:

Step 1: Shortlisting for AWT and PI

  • Candidates applying for the program must have a valid CAT score while meeting the requirements of eligibility in terms of qualifications and minimum standards of academic qualification.
  • Candidates achieving the minimum sectional and overall percentile cut-offs in CAT, along with positive raw scores in all sections, are shortlisted.
  • An Application Rate score is calculated using the Performance in Class 10, Class 12, and undergraduate degree.
  • Work experience.
  • Additional weightage is given to academic performance and diversity factors to encourage representation from varied disciplines and categories.

Step 2: Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI)

Candidates are selected for the AWT and PI based on a score that combines their AR score and their performance on the CAT.

Candidate must perform exceptionally well in his/her academics and CAT.

Minimum cut-offs for bachelor’s degree marks and overall academic scores are considered during this phase.

Candidates from reserved categories are evaluated based on government-mandated reservation policies while ensuring they meet the necessary eligibility and performance criteria.

Final Selection

The final selection is determined by a composite score comprising of the following:

  • CAT score.
  • AWT and PI performance.
