I was interested in biology and genetics so I took this course. All faculties are highly qualified. They have completed their phd from foreign universities. They are very gregarious . They treat you like their friends and encourage you to ask doubts. Curriculum is very nicely designed and provides information about other sectors too. Each semester has 2 exams one is mid term exam and other is called end term exam .

Faculty are quite meritorious and qualified but curriculum is quite tough especially in core branches. Exams will be mid sem and end sem and includes two quiz including one surprise quiz and lot of assignments

career options in biotech. Very good faculty, core faculty teach very good and TAs are also helpful. u can google faculty, most of them are from oxford university, CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY. HIGLY QUALIFIED. some are from AIIMS. they have pdfs prepared for course, practical we have to perform individually in supervision of TA.WE have to maintain practical notebook . grades absolute basis, 2 tests taken of marks 20, 10 for attendance , practical marks 15, mid erm exams 25 and end term exams 40. faculty can decide weightage. test are moderate also mid term but end term cover full syllabus and is tough. for mid term exams 1.5 hours and for end term 3 hours. test are in lecture 10 min. . if you attend all lectures you can score good marks. semester include core courses and some non core courses. you departmental elective courses, management course, open elective course. for 4th year you have 2 courses and on project. field trip in 3rd year. you can drop courses before end term exams

I chose this course because of my interest in mechanical engineering, Also, IIT Roorkee does not limit students to their branch only. We can explore other interests as well. For example, I am in Mechanical Engineering but I have also explored coding, Data science as well. I am also allowed to sit in internships and placements for non-core companies. The faculty here is very experienced, they have studied from the top institutes. About Exams:- In one semester, there are mid term examinations and end term examinations. Some professors also conduct quizzes or presentations according to their preferences. We also have Tutorials for each course and they have significant weightage in determining the grades. The difficulty level of the examination varies from medium to hard.

Each semester - 5-6 subjects 1st and 2nd year are most engaging in terms of academics. In 3rd 4th year there is not much load. About syllabus and all things it starts from circuit network theory, then electronics and power system courses. Alongside courses from other branches like CSE and ECE

My JEE rank and my interest in physics led me to chose this course. Apart from my interest in applications of AI in mechanical Engineering also helped. All the faculties are highly educated and masters of their fields with degrees from top colleges of the world. In a semester their are mid term and end term exams. There difficulty depends on the professor of the course.

Good curriculum good thing to remove 75 percent attendance but bad to add 5 percent marks to overall course based on attendance courses follow new Nep so no douche courses like Ed and chemistry for non regarding branches

It's good , supportive some are cruel for taking attendance compulsory, some give lots of assignments, I would say ki u should take control of your faculty in case you have to reach anywhere , to gain there trust .

Electrical engineering have scope in future as semiconductor technology is advancing and major part for this course was my rank in jee advanced. professors are very famous and good . Term exam were not too tough but it required hardwork .

Course curriculum is well arranged for all programs in iit roorkee. All facilities are available for whole semester. Students get chance to get practical and applied knowledge during labs . The academic performance of all students is good.
