Ques. What is the hostel allocation procedure at IIT Roorkee?

Ans. All first-year BTech and BArch students are given rooms in Rajendra Bhawan (for boys) and Kasturba Bhawan (for girls). After a year, the boys are transferred to one of the other six bhawans. Most rooms in the first year will be on a twin-sharing basis, though some of the students may get a single seater. This allocation is done based on the AIR Rank of the candidate in JEE.
