Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU) is a private university founded in 2007 by the J K Organisation, also known as the JK Cement Group, in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Annual hostel charges range from INR 90,000 to INR 1,50,000. B.Tech choices include DevOps, Full Stack Development, IoT, Robotics, Cyber Security, Digital Manufacturing, and Embedded Systems, which are not commonly offered by conventional engineering colleges in Rajasthan. The B.Des options in UX Design and Game Design provide additional specialised choices.

Students apply online through admissions.spsu.ac.in. The selection method then depends on the course, the accepted entrance score, and the applicant’s qualifying examination record.

B.Tech Admission

Applicants may seek B.Tech admission using CUET UG, JEE Main, or their 10+2 academic merit. The process includes the following stages:

  • Complete 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and secure at least 45% in aggregate.
  • Submit the online application with a CUET UG score, JEE Main percentile, or 10+2 merit record.
  • Attend counselling and complete document verification.
  • Pay the required fee after selection to confirm admission.

Diploma holders may apply for lateral entry directly into the second year of B.Tech. Students from every state can seek admission because SPSU has no state domicile condition and does not divide seats through state-wise quotas.

MBA Admission

MBA applicants need a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50%. SPSU considers CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, or its own entrance test. Shortlisted students then attend a Group Discussion and Personal Interview, either online or at the SPSU campus.

M.Tech Admission

A B.Tech or BE degree in the relevant branch is required for M.Tech admission. Preference is given to students with GATE scores, while those without a GATE score can take the university’s entrance test. M.Tech batches are kept small to allow closer interaction with faculty members.

SPSU Campus and Infrastructure

The fully residential SPSU campus occupies 100 acres at Bhatewar in the Aravalli hills. It is 30 km from Udaipur, with National Highway 76 providing a direct route to the city. Separate hostels are available for male and female students.
