NMAT Registration 2026 Last Date

The last date to register and schedule the first NMAT 2026 test is 25 October. Registration opened on 20 August. Tests run from 2 November to 20 December.

Use the NMAT exam dates to distinguish the application deadline from the later testing window. The December exam end date is not an extension of first-time registration.

Who Can Register for NMAT?

GMAC allows test takers who complete registration, pay within the specified time and follow the examination terms to sit for NMAT. Admission eligibility is set separately by each B-school.

A minimum graduation percentage, degree format, final-year rule or work-experience requirement belongs to the programme you are applying for. Do not treat one college's condition as a universal NMAT registration rule.

Check the NMAT eligibility requirements alongside the selected programme's conditions before paying. Registering for the test does not make an otherwise ineligible applicant eligible for that course, and the test fee is not refunded on that basis.

How to Fill the NMAT Application Form

1. Create an NMAT account using a valid email address.
2. Complete Manage NMAT Profile and verify the email address. Check the spam folder or use Resend Email Verification if needed.
3. Open the NMAT Candidate Dashboard and complete the application form.
4. Enter the name and date of birth exactly as they appear on your photo ID.
5. Select the schools that should receive your score reports.
6. Upload a recent photograph and pay the exam fee.
7. Return to the dashboard and book the test-centre appointment.

Use one account for the application and later retake bookings. Save the registration details and use the same Candidate Dashboard for scheduling and score reports.

Email verification matters because registration, appointment and scorecard messages use that account. If the verification message is missing, check the spam folder and resend it before assuming the account is ready.

Name, Date of Birth and Photograph

Your name and date of birth must match the photo ID. A nickname or a different name order can create an identity-verification problem at the centre. Check the exact entered details before submitting.

The uploaded photo must be recent, taken within six months, and resemble the photo-ID holder. It appears on the admit card. A blank, unclear or outdated photograph is not just a cosmetic error: it can prevent the staff from verifying your identity.

For a photograph problem on the issued card, GMAC directs candidates to nmatsupport@gmac.com. Do not edit a downloaded admit card yourself.

NMAT Registration Fee and Other Charges

The registration amount covers the first test and score reports to five chosen schools. A retake is charged separately. Adding a sixth school report costs INR 400 plus applicable taxes; it does not cover that school's admission application.

For example, one initial test plus one retake costs INR 6,000 before taxes. One initial test plus a rescheduling change costs INR 4,200 before taxes. These examples do not include any separate B-school application fees.

Payment options listed by GMAC include Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, debit cards and internet banking.

How to Book an NMAT Test Slot

After registration and payment, select Book Exam Slot in the Candidate Dashboard. Choose At Test Centre, proceed through the policies, and select an available country, city, centre, date and time.

The displayed centres depend on the location in the application. Slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. A preferred city does not guarantee that every date or time will be available there.

Check the booking confirmation rather than stopping at the payment receipt. The NMAT admit card is available seven days before the scheduled test; it is not issued immediately just because the form has been paid.

Retake Registration and Rescheduling

Retake booking opens after the previous attempt, within the 3 November to 17 December window. Pay the retake fee in the existing dashboard and use Retake Exam to choose the next available appointment.

Rescheduling is different: it moves an existing appointment before you take that test. It costs INR 1,200 plus taxes, requires more than 72 hours before the booked start time, and must fall within the rescheduling window.

You cannot buy unlimited attempts by making another account. The limit is three attempts in the testing cycle, not three per email address.

Sending NMAT Scores Is Not a College Application

Selecting a school in the NMAT form authorises score sending. The B-school may still require its own application, fee, documents and selection stages.

The NMAT selection process therefore has two parts: the examination process and the institution's admission process. A school can use its own cutoff and attempt policy rather than automatically considering whichever test score you prefer.

Record the programme deadline before choosing a late test date. A score produced after a school's accepted window may not serve that application.
