NMAT Result 2026 Date and Scorecard Timeline

NMAT results follow the candidate's test appointment. The official scorecard normally arrives within 48 hours; you do not have to wait for the final day of the testing window.

The result shown immediately after submission is the unofficial score. The downloadable official report follows through the Candidate Dashboard. The NMAT exam dates run from 2 November to 20 December 2026.

How to Download the NMAT Scorecard

1. Sign in to the NMAT Candidate Dashboard through the NMAT section of mba.com.
2. Open the scorecard download option for the completed attempt.
3. Save the report when the download becomes available.
4. Check the attempt, section scores and total before using it for a college application.

GMAC sends an email when the report is ready. The email is a notification; the scorecard itself is downloaded from your account. Use the account associated with the completed attempt rather than creating another registration.

Save the report with the attempt date in the filename if you take the test more than once. This avoids attaching the wrong attempt when a school asks for a particular score.

NMAT Section Scores and Total Score

The total is the sum of the three scaled section scores. For example, Language Skills 80, Quantitative Skills 75 and Logical Reasoning 85 add to 240.

Those numbers do not mean 80, 75 and 85 correct answers. Each section has only 36 questions. The NMAT marking system converts performance into scaled scores rather than awarding a fixed three marks per correct answer.

A percentile is a separate comparison with other test takers. Dividing a score by 360 does not produce it. The NMAT score-versus-percentile guide explains the latest dated GMAC reference.

What to Do if Your NMAT Result Is Delayed

A missing download button by itself does not establish that a result has been cancelled. First check whether GMAC has sent a security-review message. If not, write to the NMAT support address with your registration number, test date and the issue shown in the dashboard.

Keep payment and identity information out of public posts. Use the registered email address when contacting support so the query can be matched to the account.

Sending NMAT Scores to Colleges

Select the programmes that should receive the score through the NMAT account. Registration includes five school reports; each additional report costs INR 400 plus applicable taxes.

A score report is not a college application. A school can require its own form, fee and documents before its deadline. For NMIMS 2027 admission, registration is separate and closes on 25 October 2026, before the NMAT testing window begins. Do not wait for your result to complete that application.

Which NMAT Attempt Does NMIMS Accept?

NMIMS considers the first NMAT attempt for its current admission process. A later, higher score does not replace that first score for NMIMS. Other participating institutions have their own attempt-acceptance rules.

The exam allows up to three attempts in the cycle, but permission to retake and a college's score policy are different. Before paying for a retake, identify the schools that can actually use the new attempt.

A valid scored attempt requires at least seven days before the next test. Retake registration and scheduling end on 17 December 2026, with exam delivery ending on 20 December. Availability and school deadlines still matter.

After the NMAT Result: Shortlisting and Admission

For NMIMS, shortlisting considers section scores and the total. The next in-person stage may include a competency test and/or personal interview. Further details appear with the shortlist and call letter; the scorecard itself is not an admission offer.

Final selection also considers the prescribed assessment, academic record and work experience. The NMAT selection process therefore needs to be read institution by institution rather than as one common counselling process.

GMAC states that the score is valid for one year. A college's specified intake and accepted test cycle still determine whether it can use that score for a particular application.
