The Delhi University provides a distinctive admission quota known as “ Ward Quota or CW Quota'' which is specially formulated to offer academic opportunities to children and wards of defense and paramilitary personnel. This specific quota is a part of Delhi University's shared commitment to aid & support the families of people who have served the nation in military and paramilitary forces.

The “Wards Quota” is further divided into multiple categories taking into account various services backgrounds. These categories usually includes -

1. Widows/Wards of Defence Forces killed in any war or battle.
2. Wards of Defence Forces disabled in battle and discharged from service.
3. Widows/Wards of Defence Personnel who died while in Military Service.
4. Wards of Ex-servicemen and Armed Forces including Police Force personnel who are recipients of gallantry awards.
5. Wards of Serving Personnel and Ex-servicemen

This special quota intends to mitigate the educational and financial stress encountered by the families of paramilitary and military forces, in recognition of their contributions and sacrifices to national defense & security.

It also allows for preferential admission to various Undergraduate Courses at Delhi University, ensuring that addresses can attain high-quality education with better facilities and teaching staff at an affordable cost.
