The Patna University Library is a spacious three-story building that features, a generator room, entrance gate, security guard room, display room, circulation cubicle, large reading room, periodical cabinets, stack room, and administrative section.

• It has a research Section with over 25,000 PhD theses and dissertations.
• It also has a reference section, UNESCO Centre, Acquisition section, and stack containing books on science subjects and bound volumes of periodical literature.
• The second floor contains the manuscript section, which contains 5763 old and rare manuscripts of national and international importance from different disciplines.
• The library caters to about 300 readers per day with various modern facilities and study space.
