- Time restriction in hostel...Students have to enter before 9pm.
- Very low stipend. It's only ₹7,000/month.
Remarks :
Sree gokulam medical College is a private institute with good patient load and facilities. Admission is based on the rank secured in neet-ug. Usually, the cut off state rank for merit quota is 2500-3000 (general category).
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are really good and experienced. Theory classes are usually by ppts. Practical sessions are in respective labs. Sessional exams are conducted in between. University exams are conducted yearly, 1st year and final year exams being the most difficult.
Internships Opportunities :
1 year of internship is necessary for course completion. The stipend is very low as compared to other colleges. Current stipend is ?7000/month. It's a great opportunity to work under different departments and gain hand on experience and improve our clinical skills.
Placement Experience :
The total duration of the course is 5.5 years (4.5 year class + 1 year of compulsory internship). After that, you should get registered in tcmc for practising in Kerala. Then , you can start your career as JR or MO in any hospital.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tuition fees varies each year as per the govt guidelines. Currently, it is approx. ?7,15,000 for merit quota . For NRI, it is 20 lakh/year. No need to pay tution fee for sc, st and oec category. Govt. scholarships are also available for backward classes. Additionally, special fees of ?32000 is charged as admission, hostel, lab, development and caution fees. A health insurance of ?4000/year also included in special fees to cover health expenses.
Campus Life :
Life at SGMCRF is a different vibe. A beautiful and vibrant campus with separate basket ball court and football ground. Interbatch arts and sports are conducted every year , which lasts for days. College day and graduation ceremony is grand with concerts and dj. Various clubs are also there for music , sports and literature.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facility is available for all students. A and B blocks with 5 floors have larger rooms than C and D block. C block has 10 floors. Lift facilities are available. Overall infrastructure is good. A swimming pool is also there near the hostel. AC will also be provided if needed. Quality of food is average. If u don't prefer a hostel, u can also stay as PG ; rooms and apartments are available near the campus; rent varies based on facilities from ?7500 - 13000.

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
