- Library here is very nice , has lot of books from many authors and books can be taken and should be returned with a due of one week
- This college has decent infrastructure and good ambience
Dislikes
- Parking area is very bad especially during rainy days
- Hostel food is average for which we have complained many times and still the same
Remarks :
I had applied for management quota where you can choose three colleges in order according to your preference. Since this is one of the reputed colleges in pondicherry and also near to my home town , I chose this college in the first place and other two colleges. Finally by councelling, I got seat in this college. There is no group discussion, interview or written tests for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculties here are really good, well knowledged, more friendly to students. There will be four internal assessments each year and the level of difficulty is moderate. Average of four internal assessments should be atleast 50% to attain the eligibility for university exam .
Internships Opportunities :
During internship, we'll be posted in batches covering all the departments. The duration of each posting depends on the department like 6 weeks for major postings like surgery, medicine and 1 or 2 weeks for minor postings like psychiatry, anaesthesia, dermatology, etc
Placement Experience :
There is no placement or job opportunities as this is a medical college. But you can attend interviews to join as a junior resident as completing your internship. The stipend for internship is 2500 per month . As a junior resident, you can earn around 40000 per month.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fees for MBBS in this college is 12500000, which means 2500000 per year . This includes tution fees, lab fees , registration fees , admission fees ,hostel fees , laundry , etc. Since it is a deemed college, the fees is same for all the categories except for NRIs which may be around 3700000 per year.
Campus Life :
Every year , there is fresher's day for the new joining batch. Talentia and spectra are the two major fests will be conducted every year which includes dancing, singing, ramp walk, dj nights ,food feast ,etc
Hostel Facilities :
I have opted for hostel , which costs 2,65,000 per year . Two students are allotted for each room which has two cots , two study tables , with AC with inbuilt washroom in each room. There is no problem with electricity and water service

There have campus placement after completing our course if we are wiling to do so on the affiliated colleges or off campuses of the university. For women also there have colleges at local and national level. Students also prefer to proceed their studies at global level by entering into international universities and other programmes.

The college has its own placement cell .each year almost 400-500 students are getting placed.the well know recruiters are TCS , Accenture,Bounteous , Capgemini etc.the highest package of cur end year is 12LPA.

Placement opportunities are excellent in SMVEC which is an attractive factor to join this college. Internships need to join based on our own intrest. TCS ans CTS is an main recruiting organisations in this college.

Eligibility for sitting In placement is that we should not carry backlogs and we have to maintain a decent cg of 7+ some companies do allow even you have backlogs but mostly they don't . In eee we have a good scope of getting palced this time everyone who sat for placements was placed and the highest core package of 12lpa which is actually good. Average was around 7 lpa for core in eee . I'll probably choose upsc career so this placement thing is not my piece of cake . Still our college is good for eee core placements

Placement Experience :
Job placement is quite bad in our university if you think to get addmission here you will fight for job . You have to apply directly to the companies. Companies are coming here but they didn't provide placement more than 30% .

Placement Experience :
The few companies which attended the placement drive were pharmaceuticals and sales companies, which weren't related to the field we pursued. Students attended the placement drive got placed and were able to bag below average packages. The percentage of students who got placed were around 40%. My plans were to go for higher studies. More emphasis could have been placed by the college on the placements and more opportunities could have been provided by the college for the students.

Placement Experience :
Every year students are placed in a week reputed companies like Amazon,Virtusa,TCS, Capgemini, Renault and so on. All the students having eligibility to attend the placements but some of the Top MNC expected 60% eligibility of throughout 10,12 and academic CGPA. So not eligible students also having more placements options to crack it.
