I got in through community quota with my 12 grades. Others got in either through allotment or through management. Everyone applied to Calicut University with their 12 grades and waited as the allotment lists got published. There is a mock allotment round first. Then there's first, second and third allotment. The colleges then go through the list of students who specifically chose that college and calls them up if the seats are empty after third round of allotment. During application, we can select upto 20 colleges under Calicut. For Calicut University however, we need to rank in CuCat exam.
The course curriculum is very well choosen and the materials are the base for PG Studies. The Faculty was pretty good, all of them having done pg and doing their doctorates or already having one. They were skillful in the subject they taught. Some had a very strict approach as my class was filled with students that weren't intrested in literature and would often disrupt classes. Others were laid back. Internals set by the college was done on regular timings, with the students receiving their papers after correction within an alloted time. The main exams set by the university was very irregular, causing some semester exams to be given one after the other in the same month.
I haven't opted for internships as I went ahead applying for further studies in central universities. Placement offers have been posted in the group and students talked to however, most chose not to get a job or either go for further studies.
I opted for higher studies and thus remain unaware. Most of my friends in Computer Application department has however received placements for companies and seem to be doing quite well. I've also heard of other students in Multimedia department saying the same.
3.15k per year. Scholarships available are the ones granted by the government of Kerala. Most availed one being E-Grants. It's a government aided college under Calicut University thus the fee structure is pretty low.
Food fest, department festivals, Onam festivities, Freshers, Farewell, Sports and Arts programs are the major programs held at campus. The library is pretty decent with wifi and AC along with books for students of all departments. They call in new books every year and let the students decide which are to be ordered. There were sports students who went to participate out in multiple events. And the same for Arts, with students competing in C-Zone and Interzone arts competition held under Calicut University.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
