- Me and my friends really used to like some of the places in our college. We used to sit there in the breaks very you know like innovational type of places they have make out of sometimes a container or car tyre so they used to do these one little DIY, so we used to love them.
- And the second thing was our college canteen. It was massive as I’ve already told you and it has a lot of brands from like Domino’s Baskin-Robbins barista Subway.
Dislikes
- The things are delight were some of the classrooms that were really not well maintained and they were not renovated from quite a long time because the outside of the college you see if you see it is very extravagant. Looks very expensive and all but when you step inside the classrooms, it is kind of old so that is one of the things I don’t like about my university.
- Our university needs to work on the washrooms on all the university places such as the classroom buildings, canteen building and any other washroom that is present in Chitkara University. Sometimes they are not maintained and they are very small often times.
Remarks :
I only chose to take admission in this college or you can say university Because I wanted to study culinary arts only and there were no other colleges that were offering only Culinary art courses so I chose to take admission in this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our curriculum was well divided initially we joined the course in the lockdown period and we were having online classes. The classes were good but our course was kind of practically done kind of a thing. So after a few months of joining the course we attended the college and the facility was very nice to us as the course was just newly introduced to the program.
Internships Opportunities :
Earlier also I have mentioned that I got into two internships both were six months. One was in The Lalit Chandigarh where I worked in all the kitchen departments and I was working there for Free. But the overall learning experience was very good and the second one was in the Shangri -la, Muscat Oman and in this internship, we were getting everything from our flight tickets to visa to accommodation to bus pick up drops everything and food also and we were getting 15,000 in Indian rupees and average stipend that we get in abroad. countries for this industry.
Placement Experience :
So as I enrolled in BSC culinary arts, so there were a lot of internships in India and abroad also and I took one internship in my third semester. It was in the Lalit Chandigarh. I was doing that internship for six months and I got no stipend from there, but it was overall good learning experience and then I got an opportunity to work at Shangri-La Muscat Oman and we used to get accommodation food travel flight tickets visa +15,000 in rupees or 75 Oman riyals. It was a good experience overall because we didn’t have to spend our money on us. Things like accommodation, food and travel so ?15,000 was sufficient to buy little bit of luxuries there I would say and placements there were some placements but I had some other plans for my career so I didn’t take any of them
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Upon enrolment you have to pay 102000/- rupees per semester and additional 20000 rupees for knife kit and uniform and hostel and bus fee has alot of options to choose from according to distance an in case of hostels the quality of rooms
Campus Life :
The campus is one of the most interesting campuses in India. It has a huge canteen and the canteen has a lot of big brands like Dominoes, La Pinoz, barista Subway etc and it has clubs like for sports, there is every sport in our campus from football to cricket to swimming to squash courts, and in the clubs we have modelling clubs, we have theatre clubs, Music, clubs, and every blog has huge libraries too
Hostel Facilities :
I was living near the campus itself because I have family back in Zirakpur. It is a town near Rajpura where this university is located so I used to take the college bus every day and reached to the college so I didn’t opt for the campus hostel. but I had some of my friends living in the hostels and their reviews were okay so I won’t say the hostels are extraordinary but they are good for living in them and the food is also fine

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.
